If you hear the first verse it says “I’m taking back my Sunday’s.” Mgk is now getting closer to god again. I also think this a homage to the baby they lost. Maybe he thinks his old life caused the miscarriage with Megan. Idk I’m speculating. And then of course he turned back to his past to save his friend and his family. He sacrificed himself. Incredible song. Incredible duo. I love that they remixed John Denver’s song country road. 10/10 for me.
