Except a vast majority of the population is able to just have one drink and just have a good time. If one drink makes you hungover and feel like shit for days after, then yeah you probably shouldn’t drink. But if you can have a beer like a regular person, then there is nothing wrong with that. This dude is just a former alcoholic who thinks everyone is like him

I think what he is trying to say is why does someone question you or make you feel weird if you are breaking social norms. Like for example…you give up ketchup because your allergic. When someone asks for a hot dog with no ketchup…no body usually says “why can’t you just have a little? Why are you acting so weird? Just have a little” Most people who don’t have a drinking problem don’t pressure others to drink, but as a recovering alcoholic or addict like myself, I have personally experienced having made feel “weird” because I don’t get drink.
