As i used to teach physics at usc, I'm pretty sure my lack of understanding is your fault, not mine. I rank your conclusions hang up the scoop. Even more troubling you're trying to make money off your rankings. No doubt naked whey told you to take a leap when you shook then down for money.

If we wanted to be affiliates for any of these companies, we could be affiliates for them. They offer pretty much the same terms and accept pretty much any content creator to their programs. If you wanted to buy one of the protein powders in the bottom tiers for whatever reason, we have affiliate links for those too. So it doesn't matter to us who we promote on top or not. We buy all the products with 100% of our own money and none of the companies even know that we're reviewing their products or making videos about them. It makes no difference to us whether we love or hate the product, we simply tell you our candid opinion. If you end up being disappointed with our recommendations and don’t come back to the channel, we lose our audience trust. This is why we always strive to provide the best, most honest, and most helpful information. If you want to learn more about how we test our products and our criteria, I highly encourage you to check out any of our articles on our website where we break everything down. In a video where we're trying to cover 22 brands in a reasonable amount of time, we can't get into the nitty-gritty detail for every one. But for every protein powder in this video, we have a seperate dedicated video + a 4000 word article discussing our testing and criteria. Here's the one for Naked Whey since that's the one you were focused on: feastgood.com/naked-whey-protein-review/. At the end of the day, buy whatever protein you want. You don't need to take our suggestion as gospel. Thanks for watching the video.

thank you for this I was about to waste my money. I have one question my M.D. said I need more protein in my diet, not muscle mass just more protein. Would Gold standard be ok for that? Or is there a better choice. I'd like to stay away from the extra ingredients. Good article and much appreciated.

Obviously, I'm not a doctor and I can't speak to your specific situation. But any protein powder will add more protein to your overall diet. Gold Standard is good. Here's a video we did on it recently: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h7OpfLSgvJq8kWw.html

Putting ISOpure in the middle blow Gold Standard......... big yikes! I think its wrong to put price as a factor for ranking. Are you going to put a Ferrari 499 mid tier because of price? No. you rank purely based on product. ISO pure has a ratio of 1.24 and Gold Standard is 1.26 WITHOUT the mild multi-vitamin.

when inputting food like chicken does it assume the cooked weight or raw? I was told if I'm eating 5 oz of cooked chicken then I had to input on the app as 6.5 oz because the app thinks of it as raw.
@feast_goodКүн бұрын
For both branded and common foods, unless specified, meat entries are likely to be based on raw weight. You can assume a roughly 25% reduction in weight when cooked, so what you logged (6.5 oz) is close enough. However, if you bought a rotisserie chicken, there is a food item for that which accounts for the cooking method, so you’d log the actual weight of the chicken because it’s cooked. Therefore, look for a cooking method to be listed, or otherwise assume raw weight.

Protein powders are overrated/overpriced and not necessarily at all. You don’t need it- just real food. I’m willing to bet most of these are from the same factory just with a different label. I’m Currently 240lbs and benching near 400. No roids/supplements/pre-workout at all. Fitness industry full of crap. If people realized how little protein you actually need this industry would collapse.

I feel vindicated! I've been using Gold Standard for years. Granted, I dont just throw my powder in a shaker, I add bananas, raw honey, raw oats, peanut butter and plain yogurt into mine and hit it with the blender, so flavor has never really been a problem for my shakes. The handful of times I've had GS by itself, I've found the rich chocolate flavor was delicious.

muscle milk is the only protein powder with balanced macros. For me that was the selling point where to you that was the problem. My only gripe is the sucralose. but hey nothing is perfect.
@feast_good3 күн бұрын
When you say "balanced macros" what do you mean?
@thejoshman38433 күн бұрын
@@feast_good balanced macros is the high fat & carbs. the rest of the powders are protein only. having fat is protein sparing while the carbs activate insulin so the protein is used for muscle growth. if you take protein only powders you need to eat other foods or else you just burn the protein for calories instead of growing muscle.
@feast_good3 күн бұрын
@@thejoshman3843 So those types of protein powders are considered "meal replacements". And I do agree that Muscle Milk falls under that category (even though they try to market themselves as a protein powder, which is not the case because protein powders should have at least 75% of the protein percent of calories). This tier list purposely left out meal replacements or as you call them "balanced macros". So that's why you don't see more like that on this list.
