A little late to this video lol, but live in Altoona and my great grandfather worked in Juniata and my grandfather spent 42 years down at them shops. I now, at 22 years old recently just got a position as a locomotive mechanic/electrician. Very excited to be a part of something with such a long storied history and be a part of it in an area that was the capital of railroading for so long! But most of all, very thankful to carry on the family tradition.

Growing up going to Altoona every year. Was always a fascinating place. Currently I'm a loco mechanic for 10 years an got to work in that yard on the Herzog an Sperry cars. It's nice to see people keeping the history of places like these alive. An remembering all the generations that built this country.

I can't say this seems or looks appealing to me at all, I mean that thick processed cheese, isn't even melted. There's no slight browning and char of the cheese at all, it's just laying there in all it's thick processed glory 😢😢😢. One of the best things about anything with cheese, is usually the melted cheese. Who wants a thick unmelted cheese pizza ???

I was born in 1957 in Altoona and I never heard of this pizza. All us teenagers hung out at Pal Minos pizza in the 70’s. This can’t be real 😮

Mike's is my favorite place in Altoona period. So many memories (some foggy) in that place and I consider Mike a friend. Id love to see a feature on the Altoona house bars.
