Wow! Moving to Yelm is literally investing in a peaceful lifestyle without losing the township touch. It's all a function of time management if you need to commute regularly to the larger cities and that's not so much of a problem. These are quite invaluable. Thank you

It's so soothing how a physical and emotionally draining transition can be all brought down to a simple "to-do list" process by an expert opinion. From the bigger things like researching the new location, and covering health appointments to the little things like pets and address changes which can pose a hazard later. Nothing beats being adequately prepared. Nothing.

Moved down there from Bonney Lake and lived there for about 12 years. Loved it and its vibes. But low cost of living? NOPE! I found the price of houses, especially new builds, much higher there than up the hill in Bonney Lake. I ended up buying halfway between Sumner and Auburn instead. School district was decent though. There's NO nightlife. But it's very quaint and I always felt safe there.

Yes, homes are still pricey. But in terms of the neighboring cities, it’s a more affordable option. Here is the current data for all homes (resale and new construction) today (6/27/24): -Median home price in the entire NWMLS is $625k -Median home price in Bonney Lake is $615k -Median home price in Sumner is $555k The statistics I gave encompasses all types of residential sales that happened on the NWMLS. I apologize if this wasn’t the experience you had, but I am going off the data When you mentioned that there’s no nightlife, I agree with you. In the video I stated, “While Sumner thrives during the day with its charming streets and community events, its nightlife might not cater to those seeking late-night entertainment. A quieter evening scene prompts residents to explore nearby cities like Seattle or Tacoma, for more extensive options.”

I've been providing medical care for the Tacoma homeless population for nearly fourteen years. And I can say that it is finally getting better for them. The increased production of low-income housing is starting to make a difference. Homeless people are people. They don't need to be "moved-along"; they don't need abuse. They need homes. I met with one of my long-term patients the other day, and he is finally off the street, in a place of his own, and he's happier and healthier than ever. It did my heart a world of good. I love the Two-Five-Three. I want people to see more than just a homeless "problem". I want them to see this great city the way I do.

We get 130 inches of rain in Hilo Hawai'i and I've never gotten sick of it. Guess I'm gonna miss that but at least there will be some rain. I wish it was in the warmer months. I will miss the warm rain here. But Tacoma seems like a place I'm really going to enjoy

I love Sumner and grew up there during 60-70's and love my home town and still live in the area. This video shows some very good things but sadly a little is missing. The current city council is trying to ruin its small town feel and other councils which have done to it over the years too. This used to be an agriculture town but has over the last 20-40 yrs. become basically a warehouse town! What's even sadder is the part where it states "History still matters" is a blatant lie to the city council! The photos of the Ryan house is the last of Sumner's true piece of history and the current council does not want to save the first house of Sumner and for which Sumner was built around. The Ryan's were the first mayor and first library and the councils have seen fit to not take care of it over the years and now want to "TEAR" it down and "Destroy" its last piece of its history. SO, saying where history still matters, not any longer. I've seen a lot of change and some good but a lot of bad choices and the saddest is they don't listen to the people that live here. All I can say is once history is gone, it's gone forever and the next generations don't get to enjoy the past, what made the town in the first place. The Ryan house needs to be restored and saved as Puyallup did with the Meeker mansion but sadly the way they are changing this town it don't seem likely do to their not wanting to work with the people to save it but only want to tear the past down when it should be saved.

Kent is the most ethnically diverse City in the Nation. Transportation options, affordability, economy, proximity to large metropolitan cities, and parks and recreation opportunities are probably Kent's best assets. I love living on the West Hill side near the river.

I moving there in a week. Can you please shoot me a few breweries, restaurants and scenic places to check out 1st? I was there scouting some a couple of times but didn't find much in the way of amazing restaurants. One thing I was in the mood for was good BBQ and I am from CA so like great tri-tip, I found absolutely nothing! Just a couple of places with pulled pork or brisket. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

You can tell when you are being sold a lie and this lady is not telling you about the high crime in tacoma , that homeless folks are everywhere- what ever plan the cith has its not working. Groups give needles and crack pipes to the homeless , since certain drugs are legal here based on quanity, folks cover from other states to take advantage of all the give-aways .Their are parts of gang areas you should not go at night in Tacoma vey dangers. Be alert.

Hello Katrina... I want to share my "Thank*You!"... for Correctly Pronouncing the Name of our "FAIR*CITY!" There seems to be a growing number of "Personalities" that are Mispronouncing the Name of Our "Fair" City. I was born in Downtown Puyallup way back in 1947, when "Good*Sam*Hospital" was a small, two-story building. My ears have heard the Name of our city for not just decades, but generations. Of late, though, I am hearing a growing number of people pronouncing the name of our "Fair*City" with a "W"... yes, a "W"... like in "Puy-Wallup!" The Correct Pronunciation is... The first syllable sounds Like... "Pew"... like a Church Pew. The second syllable sounds like "Al"... like a guys name. The third syllable sounds like... "Lup"... All together, now..."Puy-Al-Lup" 🥰🤣🤗 Blessings*SharonZ 77yrs young
