I have quite a few cats and have been scratched and have been bleeding, but I just wash it with soap snd water and put super Blue stuff on it or antibiotic ointment..but have never had any problems at all! I have never been allergic to anything and my immune system is great so I never have a problem,

So sorry to hear about your ER visit and I hope the pills will be gone in no time. Can you grind them and put them in applesauce? (I do this!) Also, you probably already know to eat yogurt or other good probiotics when you’re on them for your digestive health. I love that you’re such an optimist. I’m one too and I think others get annoyed with me sometimes because of it. I MUCH prefer to see the good in the state of events rather than the opposite.

So glad you are back and on the road to recovery. Yes that pumped up amoxicillin is a horse pill and rough on the GI tract! They work. I used a pro-biotic or some non-dairy yogurt with live cultures to help replace the good stuff done in by the antibiotic. God bless.

Treated many a cat, dog, even horse bite wounds when a human has to take emergency action due to a storm, tornado, wild animal in the home or barn. It happens. I grew up in a home that was 100 years old back in the 1980s when we built on, and discovered a colony of bats in the old attic we never used. We called the Department of Natural resources since they are a protected animal, and Mom took us to McDonalds for dinner, while Dad covered the entire area in tarps and plastic to help ease the debris. It took them far longer than expected so we went back in our home that wasn’t tarped, encased in plastic, and shut the doors. I feel your deep cleaning issues- this attic was in our dining room, kitchen area. It took quite a while.

Years ago, my cat scratched me on my leg, and a fever hit me that night. The next morning my calf was swooen so I went to the doctors and he said I had cat scratch fever. The doctor put me on a huge pill like yours, and in 3 days, I was better. I never heard of cat scratch fever. 😮

I paid for a prescription plan but CVS actually gives me cheaper meds! It takes 3 tries but do it before the Republicans get back in 2028. Break the Amoxicillin in half with food. Be well! ER beds aren’t comfortable. You are out of it.
