When laws are passed allowing indigenous people to hunt & fish in newly acquired "traditional" lands why oh! why aren't they compelled to do so in their TRADITIONAL way?

The definition of a nation is: a group of people with a common language or belief. So, how does calling Aboriginals first nation work. Hundreds of languages and warring tribes trying to kill each other!

I agree, from Jodie onwards it has gone downhill and recent episodes belong to a Disney Song and Dance feature. If the stories are not good enough then what is the point of it? Being a massive Doctor Who fan since a child, when yes I hid behind the sofa at times, I have tried to give every new doctor a fair viewing, but a singing, dancing, OTT doctor, whether he be black, white, female, male, is not for me.

It is a misuse of the word "own" … guardians and custodians (in its traditional sense) were not "owners" … it’s like saying "owning" their own "mother" and the "ancestral dreaming" … contemporary/westernised blakfellas are more acculturated than they realise, and their enablers are embedded in the collusion of delusion … good luck with all this bs manipulation and ignorance being legitimised …

The Great Aboriginal Taxpayer Funding Gravy Train rolls on and doesn't look like ending. Over 30 BILLION PLUS PER YEAR SUBSIDIZING THESE PEOPLE with "seperate services", bullshit " corporations" and apparently we are all guilty of the "health gap" that alcohol and other bad habits causes. Is this Taxpayer Funding EVER going to CEASE? Are we still going to hear about how " oppressed " they are? About "traditional lifestyle " from a people who don't live "traditionally " ANYWHERE? And we are all responsible for off the scale incarceration levels AND "Aboriginal deaths in custody " all at the same time? Can't these people who didn't know what a "nation " was and had no concerns of personal land "ownership " at all EVER pay their own way without needing government funding for absolutely EVERYTHING?

01:24 print out a bunch of these signs and post them around neighbourhoods of other tribes. I don't think the Koori's will appreciate a bunch of signs saying "This is kaurna country"
@johncitizen954012 сағат бұрын
1.25 "This is Kaurna (pronounced Garna) country" .. i.e. the Adelaide Plain. Another noun with spelling that makes no sense given the ethno linguistic group identified by this term didn't use writing. Having a silent "K" with an apostrophe before the spoken word that now designates Fraser Island almost seems designed for faux- sophistication ... a confidence trick conveying or implying a group whose culture had been more formally developed than it was.

Unfortunately, instead of otherwise calling a spade a spade, many are now thinking that by pandering to a conquered people, they can forever push back the reality; all land is conquered land. You can’t give back land because it wasn’t anyone’s to begin with. Whoever has it, defends it, whoever doesn’t have it, fights for it. A very brutal and arguably irrational fact, however it has been the fact all along.

I think Jodie suffered from poor scripts that didn't really give her a chance. I'm absolutely ancient, being able to remember William Hartnell as the Doctor. But the world is changing, in fact the only constant thing in life is change! Trying to go back to the old days wouldn't work. However, even back then Dr Who always pushed boundaries, although it was more subtle then. I see a lot of sense in making it a series that can be fully enjoyed by everyone, without anyone feeling excluded, but I think they could do that without being so excessive about it.

Sad part is we are not giving the land back to the Aboriginals we are giving it back to a corporation .Which can be sold taken over .No point hating on the Aboriginal people they not the ones pushing this .The question is why the corporate government is pushing this ?? maybe this has something to do with Agenda 21,WEF you'll own nothing ??. the same thing is happening in NZ and Canada .I think we are all barking at the wrong DOG

What an interesting comment section.. The march through the institutions is complete and our apathy from having it so good for so long is astounding. It's not just the Aborigines who have been bought with free money though because we now have a three tier society with the Aboriginals on top and men on the bottom. It makes sense because if you want to radically change the political landscape you can't have a hoard of less agreeable men controlling anything. The whole concept of family has collapsed or should I say men have been kicked out. We're well on the way to re education camps because women have been convinced they need this for their safety. Look at all the money that's being thrown at domestic violence to save less than 50 lives a year while women abort 90,000 babies a year. That's alright though because government made it legal so it's their right to decide who lives and dies. Men again have zero say in this too. The left, or woke, or progressives or #arxists (we have had free speech removed long ago) only had to suggest to women they deserved better. Not all women support this notion but none of them are fighting against it.
