C4 matrix happens because the game tries to play C4 "reload" animation which does not exist

Trying to find perfect balance between T and CT deff kills all the fun. I cannot understand why an unbalanced map is not played into competitions... It's not like the teams would not switch...

updates might be surprising because the game is so old but there are a decent amount of players. a large portion come from south america. i live in NA so i can play with little internet issues and they're pretty insane too. they don't even play the game how people did 10 years ago. also they're not prepared for a csgo player's style of flashbangs either. try the game out! the nades mechanics are a bit difficult to understand but you can throw some brutal flashes! just lacks a strong anticheat cuz vac1 is weak ngl and the only platform with a decent one is eu/russia based and ~170 ms isn't fun.

CSS, CSGO, CS2 is basically same source engine game. they are worse than 1.6 but 1.6 is so outdated that feels like playing old retro game

This game is old, need to adjust mouse refresh rate to 125hz otherwise it feels floaty and slippery. Chinese server recently got an update so that people can use higher hz.

Zombie Swarm and Zombie Infection (not biohazard or plague, the early zombie infection, no ammo shops nothing) were my favorite as a kid

TBH two most important updates after initial 1.6 release were flash bug fix (I can't even count how many years we waited for this simple fix where community had fix available for free distributed manually...) and mouse raw input. The rest was nice but not essential.

the hate around this map is well deserved. it was absolutely terrible to play as Ts and if you were playing as CTs you HAD to make at LEAST 11 rounds and hope the other teams CT side would somehow fuck up their defense for 5 more rounds otherwise the chances of you winning were slim. most of you are saying that you miss playing this map because of nostalgia, but let me tell you: if Valve got this map back without any changes you would go back to begging them to remove this shit map in a heartbeat.
