the motion path is not balanced and not right behind the body, wouldn't that hurt the kneecap? specially the inner part of the knee
@UnleashedFitnessNC9 күн бұрын
Nope, not at all. The leg hangs off to the side a bit & is pretty much lined up with the cable. Not everything in life or training is going to be perfectly aligned.

Definitely low to start out. Around 50% of your 1RM to get used to the exercise. Then slowly build your tolerance around 2-4% increase each week.

You can give it a shot. You have to stack the bench on something & it’s tough to clip in. We’ve tried it, but couldn’t figure out a solid way to make it feel right.

How u doing g brotha?brother?? Its been a while. Hey do u still recomend the functional trainner over the leverage arms? I sold my prx rack and Valor lat pull down machine and some other equipment so iam looking for stuff to buy...I was looking at the rhino belt squat plus rack and it looks like I can do tons of exercises with it besides belt squats I can even add a slinger to do lat pull downs too. Anyways even thinking everyday what to buy..ether the rhino belt squat plus rack or rep fitness with ares or one of thoes all in one functio al trainners like brute force and it comes with leverage arms, weight stack, smith machine, cable system. etc...etc..they are all close to same price about $4000. I know it's my decision but if you were in my shoes what would you prefer. I habe 2 lower buldging disk in my lower back so belt squats will be cool I guess. I know rep has a belt squat attachment too. Anyways iam looking for the one that is more versatile
@UnleashedFitnessNC Жыл бұрын
Hey man. The lever arms a still pretty solid. But, I don’t think I’d buy them again. For a home gym, I’d definitely go with a power rack that has an integrated cable system like a Prime rack.

@UnleashedFitnessNC2 жыл бұрын
The chest supported rows are pretty nice. I’d recommend putting some extra padding on your bench though, for your chest to not get crushed. Like a folded up mat or something. 👍🏼

I don’t think it’s necessary. But, ours is bolted down because I don’t want it to slide into the wall when the bar gets racked hard.

I'm just curious, why did you use a band to keep plates tight instead of collars? Great set up anyway!
@UnleashedFitnessNC2 жыл бұрын
The band actually keeps the whole rig tight including the plates. But, most collars don’t fit tight on the lever arm plate pegs. They are a little smaller in diameter than a barbell, so the collars just slide right off. Great question!

Great video! But isn't there a way we could set up a second carabiner to the main one and then attach it to the other leg so both legs could work simultaneously and save time? Thanks in advance!
@UnleashedFitnessNC2 жыл бұрын
Hmm. With the cables to the side like that, we’d have to attach the other ankle to the other cable & move the bench to the middle of the rack. The cables would be at a pretty intense angle instead of straight on, so I’m not too sure how well that would work or feel. Almost impossible to connect both feet to the same cable with this set up, just doesn’t feel right & really hard to get in position. Especially with heavier weight, because now you’re using both legs instead of just one. So the weight would need to be much higher & harder to get positioned comfortably.
