I thought the same thing originally but I think it’s actually one of the more condensed miniature tubas because it looks a little bigger than the euphonium and has more tubing

@@soopems6744 actually, the middle school I was in gave the students really huge tubas. Like, they were 3 ft normal sized tubas. But who knows, I went to a middle school with a good selection of instruments lol.

no thats a tuba. euphoniums are different. its kinda hard to try and explain over a youtube comment. just know that this kid is playing a smaller sized tuba. and not euphonium. (and dont try to call me out as wrong, i know what im talking about. i own a euphonium)

The Jupiter JCB-380 (new model, same instrument JTU-730), King 1140, Conn 15J (from 1985-90), Dynasty M845, and quite a few Chinese clones, are small 7/8-size tubas with small to decent-sized bores that are that size and shape. They are good for starting on, though a little too small for backing up a larger orchestra or any large (60+ person) concert band. There are also a few almost-euphonium sized E-flat tubas that copy that particular wrap, mostly Chinese or Indian-made ones. Euphoniums consist of only a single wrap, and have a smaller bell (305mm/12").

I started on one of those, a Jupiter JCB-380. In retrospect it was kind of a miserable little horn, but the intonation was good. And I was loud. He's wasting lots of air puffing out cheeks and not starting the notes with proper intonation, but there really is no replacement for taking your horn out to a distant valley (hopefully with few people to complain) and just blowing something awesome from it.

as if you could play that high and sound good. Some people are still learning.
