Esther Williams' as-told-to autobiography is a hoot, especially the part about Jeff Chandler.

Nothing against the cast. But the story… Is lacking some thing. Perhaps it’s just because it’s a product of its time. But you really rooted for the husband to be happy. The wife just is so misunderstood that at the end of the story, she almost seems like a pushover.

Anyone know why this playlist only goes through 1934? It used to go through the 40s?
@OTRRКүн бұрын
The playlist has 761 episodes and runs through until the series ended in 1955.

These might actually be worth listening to if it weren't for the extremely obnoxious, loud, high- pitched organ music every minute or so.

What a joy to hear this music after all these years! Seventy five years ago I thought I would never have the beauty I missed. What a parable!

An eternity without me. You will look into the faces of passers by hoping for something that will, for an instant, bring me back to you. You will find moonlit nights strangely empty, because, when you call my name through them, there will be no answer. Always your heart will be aching for me, and your mind will give you the doubtful consolation that you did, a brave thing

The awkward relationship between the son and adopted daughter was blurred. Thankfully they never really admitted a love interest. But I read it as potentially… which is total cringe.

Listening to the marketing - I honestly have to wonder if someone really thought movie stars and every women was REALLY having actual conversations about soap hahahah

2:43..... Friday should comment that they're at HIS HOUSE. They must have forgotten that they used that address here when they started mentioning it being where Joe and Mother Friday live.
