Your render lag comes from your CPU or RAM not your GPU. Valheim I believe runs on a single core so multi-threads dont do much and changing your graphic settings wont help much. The only thing you can do is control panel and close out everything before playing. Good to have you guys back!

You were talking about the cost of ammo for the ballista earlier, one way of mitigating the costs, is to use the cheap ammo for the ballista targeting the common low level mobs, like the undead, and use the better ammo for the ballista targeting the less common, but more powerful mobs, like the Morgen.

Hi there fellow Vikings. After now literally watch every second on all 133 episodes I must say, wow what an epic adventure. I found your channel 2 weeks ago and started watching and I could not stop. I wanted to comment on a lot of videos but figured as it was long time ago, I figure I post here in the last video for the season instead. I can say that I really laughed hard many times, like when you did hide in the tower from all the Greydwarf, when you met your first troll or the many times when I see Captain daddy be so frustrated due to no inventory space and Troy stand there just empty out everything on the ground like ”-bha I don’t need that…” just to mention a few. But also felt the pain when the game where really punishing you. Like when you where going in to the Swamp the second time with just honey, blueberries and mushrooms as food, no portal and you did set you beds on a small island just next to it with a troll spawn on it. I thought to myself even before you sat your foot in the swamp that “-no no no don’t do this, this ios not going to end well..” and I wish I was there to guide you a bit. Still, you did the big reset, discovered better food and after that you steamrolled most biom’s after. I must say it was fun to see the improvements you did both in fighting and be better prepared. I have watched a lot Valheim videos and played around 900h myself and can say you did same mistakes as the rest of us when we where new =) I must applaud Troy for saving the day so many times when Captain Daddy died but Troy still manage to solo kill everything and set up the portal, well done mate. Also, I must applaud Captain Daddy for his dedication for farming all that stuff to his son so Troy can have the latest and greatest gear all the time, I true leader. And I was really impressed with your building skills, even the first house you did was looking better then 99% of most people’s first house that often looks like a barn with 4 walls and 0 decoration. All that different base building you have done and I can just imagen all the farming and all trial and error for getting the way you wanted must have taken a huge amount of time and I must say your current base looks really good, well done mate. I guess it is late to come with tips and tricks, but here is some things for you Captain daddy, I see you are out of stamina verry often in combat and the reason for that is 2 things from what I can see, first is that you use shift + run (run faster) way to much and also you dodge roll way to much. I suggest that when you get low on stamina just hold up your shield and backpaddle, no running, no rolling and you will see a huge difference. Dodge can be good to use if the enemy is to strong for you to tank, example a troll early, but other then that just go back with shield up and most enemies will just follow you but never attack (except range and that is why you keep shield up). Another thing is that I never see you use the hotkey for Hide/Show weapon(default hotkey R) this will bring or hide both weapon and shield at one button press. A good example when to use this is when you go int to water and go back up again (as you know you have been so irritated over soooo many time =), just press R and you have both main and offhand up again. This also comes in handy when moving outside of combat, running with weapons on your back takes less stamina and you move faster. And a last thing, as a Swede I have smiled many times on your pronunciation on many names in the game, but please open Google translate, set language to Swedish and type in the word Fuling (the goblins that you call them) and click the sound icon =) Same with Gjall. I will continue following you and can't wait until next season. Awesome! Obviously it's a free build world and there seems to be so many possibilities with the new build materials. The only problem is for those who want to stick to the normal progression of material acquisition, those are SOOOOO far away and late in the game!

Hello brothers. For the next time yall play, the fiddleberries are like cloudberries/rasberries/blueberries, they just spawn where they spawn and you can't plant them. Luckily they're pretty plentiful around the ashlands. Also holy moly that entrance to your fort is super dangerous lol it might be worth just busting open a hole on another side of the fort. Can't wait for season 2. godbless

why don't you guys use Iron or Black Metal chests for storage ?

The Copper and Iron are mainly for late game access, the way the map generation works, the further away from the center of the map, the less often you see Black Forests and Swamps, and you don't see meadows at all near the edges. So for people migrating further out to build their bases, they will need access to more of those materials without having to sail too far.

I know you get frustrated, but at this point you're playing ahead of the curve. A few episodes ago, you guys rolled up on a draugr village on the shore next to a plains, I thought for sure you guys would get wiped and lose the boat, but you cleared the draugr village and some plains mobs at night, and now you're raiding goblin camps at night in the rain and you don't even have plains armor yet.

That little plains island would be perfect for farming the plains only crops. I usually have to search for an area that has a small sliver of plains near a meadow or black forest.

awesome episode. At the end when you were getting your body. Just as you got to your body you can here a twitcher agro you, he hit you with a rock, which is what pushed you in the lava.

I recommend building a stone portal to bring your metals home! You just need a stone cutter to build one. If you don’t have the mats at hand for a stonecutter (will need 2 iron), You can get iron ingots from ancient pots at the ruins or caves. The stone portals need molten core, which you can from caves. You can connect the stone portal to your regular home portal

Look for abandoned dverger outpost in the ashlands they often have flametal.

You all will need to move inland to get the resources you need.

Two stams is not the way to go. Do two of the new hp foods from ashlands and a stam. You will get one shot with that low health at all times.

Nice. Be glad they nerfed the mosquitoes. When I first played Valheim they could two shot you while wearing the best armor available, fully upgraded, and they could three shot your ship. The "Deathsquitoe" name was well deserved.

Pro tip... When you are unloading from a raid like that, if you open your chest and keep holding the key you use to open the chest, it will automatically move matching items from you inventory into that chest. So say you have 10 charred bones and 30 wood in your inventory, and you have the 3 charred bones and 50 wood in the chest, it will auto-stack your 10 charred bones and create a new stack of 30 wood in the chest as long as there is space. It's a much quicker way to unload. Great battle there at the end. Glad you both made it back safely. Keep exploring and you will find an Ashlands fortress. Fun times will be had!

You said you wish you had better food buffs, that's what the buke berries are for. They remove your food buffs so you can replace them with better ones. Kind of like a palate cleanser.

FYI, you only need the stone portal on the end where you are entering with metal. It'll connect with a regular portal and allow you through with whatever you are carrying. If you want to carry metal in both directions, then you'll want it like you have it with a stone portal on each end. Great video, thanks for sharing.

Its fantastic to see a father and son duo taking on the ashlands. Keep up the good work. Also it might be worth expanding the storage chests to at least 6 chests per biome. At least for ashlands lol. There is just so much stuff that drops from there, its insane.

Try the Silver Sword instead of Mistwalker the DoT on the Silver Sword is stronger it also multiplies if you parried the target.
