Are these pit bulls a more skinner tire for 2.2’s? I can’t really tell in the video. Reason I ask is I bought j concept ruptures 2.2’s and I narrowed them down by about 1/2” for my vrd carbon.
@mumblesjj27 күн бұрын
Yes, they are narrower than the super swampers, Baja pro x, they fit treal & hobbysoul 2.2 wheels without modification

Awesome video Joey! Threw it to the wolves right away, that trail stops lesser rigs at the entrance.😎 Dial in the tires, a little front weight and it will be awesome. I ran with John AnJohn at Walnut and Meridian with the Injora pins on his 4WS Capra. They worked great, but like those Pitbulls have a kittle less side bite than other treads do.
@mumblesjjАй бұрын
I borrowed the PBX from the tow truck, the foams are hard & works well with the heavier tow truck, looking @ the Injora pins with printed inserts to help with side hilling, let's see when brass parts becomes available

That's really bad luck with the axle. My SCX10 III tumbled down a much bigger hill and at first I also thought that the axle was bent, but it was only the tire or something. The problem fixed itself after some driving. The crash can't be seen, but heard in my video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/o9VlgKWHyKnWaY0.htmlsi=6vYeusI2hrHqdOWx&t=128 🙃
@mumblesjjАй бұрын
That was lots of tumbles. Mine landed on the left rear & took all the damage. I may consider aluminum housings but for now, I'm just changing the axel shafts
@CasitascrawlersАй бұрын
I’d take the bent axle out put it on a flat table & straighten it till it rolls straight. I had a Carisma Crawler & I couldn’t see the back of a 4/5 ft rock & drove right off the backside it landed still upright but found the rear axle badly bent looked up some info & took it out bent it back & was good to go. 👍
@mumblesjjАй бұрын
It was a nasty tumble that landed on the left rear wheel, axel housing is good & the axel it self I've seen for $14. not bad a price
@CasitascrawlersАй бұрын
I almost purchased those same wheels decent price & the quality looked good & I love the spider logo on the cap. How due you like them & how did mounting them go sometimes for whatever reason some of the beadlocks are a pain to mount tires on. Thanks

ooops something went wrong 😅…hm, they don’t look soft, just compare the behavior of the tires between the two rigs. I think you should have at least as much grip as the gatekeeper, because the VRD and Tusks are a great choice 😊

Nice Bronco, love the scale driving as well. I think it's equally important to trail them "scale" as it is to build them scale. You can push the rigs limits and look good doing it. I'm finishing up two Bronco builds right now. One is on a VS4-10 chassis. The stock Axial will sit on a shelf while the Vanquish one will be my trail queen.
@mumblesjj2 ай бұрын
Thanks, had to drive it a least once, still have the stock body so if I choose to drive it again I can switch bodies & off I go, post pics of your build when it's finished
