Wanted to also chime in on your comments towards Bethesda....I won't take away the fact that this is their style of making RPGs. when it comes to Fallout 3, and the Elder Scroll series, that's their thing, and kudos to them. they don't ever need to try anything different if they don't care to. That's said.....it's the technical quality of their products (at least from fallout 3 onwards) during the launch window that needs to be addressed. people seems to be so enamored , and glossy-eye by a Bethesda game release that they don't notice the technical bugs that's littered throughout the games. using skyrim as an example....when it launched, there was glitches like backwards flying dragons, and characters stuck in the geometry of the background, and other bits that I read about online at the time.....yet....it received game of the year?? with patches pending on any game, I cannot conceive how it's a contender for GOTY. I think we allow to much leway on these studios giving us incomplete products for our $60+ dollars. I haven't heard anything yet on Fallout 4. here's to hopi g a lesson is learned.

I wanted to chime in on this conversation about calling what we know as 'consoles' a PC. This is exactly the same conversation I debated with a guy on some forum more than 15 years ago. I pretty much said the same thing. All these gaming devices, at the time being Dreamcast, Playstation 2, and Gamecube/ N64, and today being Xbox, Playstation, and Nintendo gaming consoles are all PCs. They act like, and perform their functions as any PC would. The only differences being that the architecture of the hardware is enclosed for the 'consoles' while PC hardware to remain open for upgrades and other modifications the owner sees fit. The consoles don't require mouse and keyboard to interface with it's software, because the consoles being a limited PC (by that I don't mean power and performance, thats a different topic. I simply mean limited as it's primary function) strictly created for gaming purposes uses a controller designed to interact with the gaming software instead. Console gaming systems are PCs. Desktop PCs with equal or higher specs to a particular console can run its games as long as the software is written for it. The software, or language (or whatever its considered) between the individual consoles are different between each other for licensing purposes between the manufactures. Which is how or why we use the term 'ports'. Basically all games are programmed on a PC, then optimized or 'ported' to the console. simply put.....it's all PCs. It's just how they're built to cater to a specific task. Consoles are primarily gaming rigs. While a desktop PC is open to do a lot more than only gaming.
