Does it need to have a sub connected to the Q100? Because its not working for me. Using ns20 and q100 when i plug in the phone out to aux in there is no sound but if i plug into the sub there is sound only bass frecuency.

Hey mate ! I am new to audio and super confused by power ratings. My headunit has a 10amp fuse in it but houses the TDA 7388 which states 45w RMS per channel if all channels are maxing out wouldn't total wattage be 180w . My car battery voltage is around 14v so multiplied by 10am is 140w . I see people using power supplies and the chip rarely draws 1amp when driven hard . My question is how does it produce 45w of RMS when it doesn't draw that kind of wattage from a power supply . Thanks bud !
