I had this too but my husband massaged my arm every night and my numbness is gone 11 months later! I also had itching under my skin. It’s gone too except in one area. Please discuss this condition too on your channel. Thank you!!!

You videos have been very useful to me. I am two months post right breast mastectomy. I have recovered well but have some cording and a tight scar ending in a dog ear. It is the dog ear I am struggling to beak down with scar massage. The cording seems to go down to this point and is more problematical into the scar and chest than in the arm itself. Have you any advice, and do you cover the dog ear in any of your videos?

Why as an Australian professional do you used Americanised spelling? It really does make one wonder. In Australia we use s not z in many words like personalised. As an educator,I find this disturbing that ‘influencers’ such as yourself cannot get the basics of correct spelling.

Thank you for your video Jen. I have recently had a lumpectomy and am due to have radiotherapy when a haematoma has resolved itself. My problem is that I have had rheumatoid arthritis for many years which has badly affected my shoulders and I have very restricted movement, particularly in the left shoulder. The surgery was done on the right breast but I have been told that I will need to raise both arms for the radiotherapy. I'm starting out with a physiotherapiest this week but I wish I'd been told this right at the start of the process although even then I'm not sure how much I can improve the situation due to torn rotator cuffs and other long term damage. Is there any way I might be able just to raise my right arm do you think?

Actually my 2 oncologists were men and would not even mention this to me, I when I asked they said no you don't have RF I SAID WELL NO I HAVE PULMONARY FIBROSIS FROM THE RADIATION THAT'S WHAT IT SAYS ON THE PET SCAN YOU ORDERED MAYBE YOU DIDN'T LOOK AT THAT PET SCAN OKAY.. I can't believe what this medical so called specialist oncologist in hematology/oncology. And I'm not saying because they're men because even if they're men and they wouldn't know what it feels like or would know anything but they are oncologist that are supposed to look at the scans evaluate them see what the notes were and what the radiation oncologist interpreted but not they don't care if it ain't they're dealing with they don't want to do s***

ok i dont know if i am taking this the wrong way but this video didnt help me one bit. I was expecting to hear the actual science behind the raditation that is making us fatigued, not our mental state of mind. smfh i was not fatigued at all before starting radiation, im an active person and now i cant even sweep my floors without stopping in between to sit down because im exhausted. I cant even cook a meal or do my laundry without being physically exhausted!! So to make a video saying its because we went through all these treatments and blah blah blah thats why were fatigued instead of explaining what the radiation is doing to us, shows you really dont know! It is literally the radiation being put into our bodies that is causing this extreme fatigue!!!!

Wow. Thank you for this important information. I was not told of the need to apply daily moisturizer. I had a bilateral mastectomy due to a tumor on the left side (+BRCA2 mutation). Only 4 nodes were removed and none, thank God, were cancerous. I was prescribed a compression sleeve, the doctor said as a precaution. The only real warning I was given was to avoid cuts and bug bites on that arm, but there wasn't an emphasis on the cascading impact a simple scrape or bite could cause. I was told I'm at low risk of developing lymphedema, so perhaps that's why no one on my health team has discussed these points with me. I'm so glad I watched your video.

It’s been 13 months since my surgery and I’m really struggling. I can’t wear a bra or any type of compression on my bilateral mastectomy scar. I’m retired and have lots of time on my hands. Can I use the medi-pads to massage my scar? If it breaks up adhesions it seems logical to me. Please advise. And thank you so much for being here for us!🙏

Thank you so much 😭😭 I was losing my mind thinking that my cancer has come back. I mean, I know it is a possibility but I've had my lumpectomy in January end. My last day of radiation therapy was on 27 March and around the first week of May, I slowly started getting all the symptoms you have listed. The area is very tender to touch and the skin has become quite thick too. Anyway, I now know that I need to massage it gently. Once again, thank you so much. ❤

I had 25 rounds of radiation last year that completed in 02/23 on my left side. In September 2023 I began to experience what feels like Muscle spasms in my left side rib cage. It feels like a Charlie horse like you would I have gotten in my calf but in my left rib cage. It’s painful and makes it difficult to breathe. Could this be what you are talking about?
