Are you in front of the match club, and the white post. 40 + years ago they used to be the pegs. Also they used to be 100+ pegs matches and you could get down all the way to the dam in your car

Alan, I do love your videos. You come across as a really lovely man, and i especially love your enthusiasm. BUT, i hate it when you make snide remarks regarding Dave woods weight and eating habitats, i appreciate that he does sometimes laugh along with you, but i do see sadness in his face, he is also such a lovely kind man, and i believe a good friend to you, so please just stop the fat shamming. One more thing, its not only guys that fish, us girls also fish, so try saying guys and girls instead of just guys.

I agree with stevehansler regarding the angler to your right casting so close to you peg. He certainly would have had a few comments regarding poaching and peg management. However it was not going to happen to you on the day. I have fished Lake 2A and B and have found the B side the more productive side. Never mind Alan, as you so often say: You can only do your best. Alan i fished the same peg A9 in July and had the same problem as you i had nothing for 4 hours and the lad to the left of me where Adam Richards was fishing ending up winning the section his swim was full of fish. 👍

I’ve always found Carp dominant commercials generally don’t fish well in the morning unless you get a very good draw.

Peg 11 was right to cast where he did mate . Have a look at Prestons Andy Findleys video on that peg and you will see how close you were to him . Great content as always mate

WD Nosh 55lb didnt seem bad to me from your peg, painful when you see Steve Ringer with 240, its like how the ... anyway it is what it is this is why they are world number 1's etc. Upward and onward. Cant help but think you are overcomplicating things by setting up too many methods. Simplicity stick to one or two methods - bad choice oh well next time. Bomb and tea bag prolly would have been my all day (long island chuck ) method. Ill bet you dont even have any tea bags set up - you sholuld have at least 40 tea bags before any big match in your bait bag, if you like fishing bomb that is.

Well done Alan out of ya comfort zone but that's what makes you " mighty" with practice its second nature to the top lads as its there main attack more often than not. Surprised me with no float approach thought it was a rule on most fisheries that float must be used.
