Blade looks longer than original Mora. Pro C I guess?

@@Drunken_Frog_40000 Yes! Pro c. There is a few extra millimeters hidden in the plastic handle so I exposed whole blade.

A wonderful EDC, Budget priced with American labor. Blade length is perfect and legal where I live ( 3 inch limit ). Can't ask for more. 🙂

Old school slipjoints have things new knives can never accomplish, charm (like you said) but also that warm nostalgic feeling we get. That is their selling point IMO.

It is amazing what the BOS heat treatment by Buck achieves with a lesser steel. Id be interested in a comparison of 420hc non buck conpared 8cr30mov. I just moved up from the Buck Bantam to a CRKT knife in 8cr. I work in an environment of daily knife use, and the buck fairs well with daily stropping. Anxious for tomorrow to try the 8cr lol

Hi, to be honest I don't know 8cr30mov. Is there chance you meant 8cr13 or 8cr14mov? For daily use knife I would recommend steel 14c28n, VG1 (its not VG10), ATS34, D2 or higher. Even with top heat treatment which BUCK does, 420HC is still lowend steel. properly heat treated 8cr13mov is little bit better, but it is still lowend steel as well. If you don't want to spent extra money, try some GANZO knife from D2, you will be suprised.

Is the camera holder on the shoulderstrap removeable? This pack would make a great butout bag, because of it's size, and front opening

A great neck knife. Got mine set up with paracord that's included & break away barrels. I use mine while out saltwater fishing in SE Texas & just going to the store or wherever. It comes sharp but I have a SharpWerx Sharpener that'll get it shaving hair in a few seconds 🤟

Great vid and info. Good looking capable knife. In your opinion do you think it's a great sized knife for folks with medium sized hands like me?
@to_the_wilderness
@to_the_wilderness 11 ай бұрын
If you have size of hand 8-9 you`ll be probably satisfied. I have 10 and a half and I would appreciate little big bigger handle. My solution is paracord wrapping arround whole handle and it`s good now. Actually I have izula as well and eventhough izula has better ergonomy for some reason I usually prefer Lackey.

Great little EDC. The new A8 gen3 is even better...magnetic clip and magnetic tail, more rigid clip as well. Slightly different (more advanced) interface. I installed my clip with the open end facing the tail for use on the bill of my baseball cap.

could this charge a power bank or a small radio?
@to_the_wilderness
@to_the_wilderness Жыл бұрын
That depends on the powerbank or radio of course. On full sunlight is output power about 1A, thats mean it can charge 5000mAh powerbank in about 5 hours. Li-ion/Li-pol batteries are always better than Ni-mh/Ni-cd because lithium can manage fluctuating voltage and intermitend charging.
@Psychosapiens
@Psychosapiens Жыл бұрын
only 1A in full sunlight ? it should be at least 2A 5V . I consider to buy on because of the weight.
@to_the_wilderness
@to_the_wilderness Жыл бұрын
@@Psychosapiens Output/size ratio is actually quite good with this choetech. 2A solar chargers are much bigger and don't belive some cheap chargers with bigger numbers, it's mostly lie.
@Sunstepa
@Sunstepa Жыл бұрын
I have this one. I used this for 3 years. It's decent but is not for me. You need always have direct sunlight, right angle ant static position, otherwise you are done. I wouldn't look any solar panel which have less that 28w. 😛 It's a last stop to size, power ant portability.

@@to_the_wilderness Wait in the video you said you measured 2.3, and 1.5 on a cloudy day? But now you say 1Amp? that's really terrible, that's only 5 watts from a "14" watt panel.
