@@entertainmentgaming8738 Based on so many system seller games that have been released for all other headsets? PS VR 2 sold well below Sony's expectations (which should have been pretty obvious from beginning - it is a VR headset) - why would they throw good money after bad and invest in creating games for it?

That was a terrible idea to not figure out how to be backwards compatible. But I do understand why it would be hard. The original used camera based 2 light source tracking and the new one has like an array of IR lights I believe. It definitely could have been done, but the cost to do it would have probably been way higher than it would have been worth.

I actually had more that I forgot about. It had been so long since I'd used it I genuinely forgot. But you have to admit there's no hype going on for this thing coming from Sony. It got like a minute of the last State of Play.

@Gentenstation considering they consider it more a peripheral more than a stand alone console I wasn't too bothered by it. If you focus on console exclusives sure it's not great but how many Playstation 5 console exclusives dropped in the last year? Third party games have been really good on psvr2 in my opinion. This year I'm excited for Alien Rogue Incursion, Behemoth and Wanderer...u should try Synapse and Walking Dead 1 &2

I completely forgot about RE 8! I do have that. I got it on clearance while I was playing something else and it got shelved. I don't think I've tried it yet. I do think it's a great VR headset, I was just hoping for more support from Sony. Like give us some big first party IPs. Like imagine God of War VR.

With the PC adapter coming, I'd still recommend the PSVR2 if you have a PS5. As much as the Meta Quest 3 is a good device, being made by Meta/Facebook is a hard pill to swallow. They will harvest your data. They will advertise to you like crazy. And they are the pioneer of revoking digital games with no refunds.

I feel like this was more of a "because we can" product. Something Sony does a lot. The Sony Xperia phones are basically the same thing. "Here's an expensive powerhouse that we won't support". I don't get it. They make great products and then walk away.

I will say a good mixed reality makes for an interesting gaming experience. When it works well it's very immersive. But yeah, having that on you at all times is a different story. Imagine the level of distracted driving with something like that. And like you said, companies are going to watching everything you do looking for ways to advertise. I can see it now... A 30 second ad in order to see.

I understand your point. For me, I'm more likely to play a game, real or counterfeit, if I have it physically on a shelf. I have nearly 1400 digital PC games and easily 6000+ ROMs and don't play any of them. It's the same reason I've said when gaming goes digital only, I'll stop collecting. I don't find looking at a list of games on a screen enticing at all. So for less than the cost of doing it myself, I support repros. CDs and carts. Especially on games that were never in English.

As you can see on my channel, I only have done one little small "talkie-vid" for a Dutch McCartney podcast, and that's it. I only play the piano, till now, here on my channel. Also some McCartney songs by the way, as you can see (Anyway, Here Today, but also some Beatles songs). Doing more talkies I am not yet really feeling "secure" enough, I think...don't know, really have to learn that, probably. To not have all kinds of "ehh's" in it etc. About the copyright, as far as I understand it's mostly only then when people here on KZfaq play original recordings, then that copyright-thing comes into question.
