Golf isnt protecting state parks. Another illegal land grab. Harvested all those tree for a dying sport

Golf is a state park? This is highly illegal. Now they want to do this in Florida. I hate old people. You people are so destructive. Golf courses are serious pollution. Native sand bunkers? Lol idiots

My father in law helped manage the building project when he worked for Mr. Smithgall in the late 1980’s. The timbers came from Thompson Falls, MT, just Easter of Trout Cteek where my father in law currently lives (his idea to use timber from there). My wife and her sister blings have many fond memories of that place (before it was a state park) - like swimming with water moccasins in the creek before they knew better.

Not a tour. Just information about Europeans taking native land and named after the person who took it. If it was a hostile area, They were not welcome there. I’ve decided to search elsewhere to visit thanks to this video.

I love this old video. I miss the days I spent here. I remember in the Fall and Winter, we'd have apple cider and hot choclate in the cabin as we huddled around the fire to escape the cold.

Beautiful presentation. Just started Kevin Phillips' 1775 and now am curious whether Clark will turn up in its pages!

Great video. I live locally. Jarrett Manor/Traveler's Rest was a very common field trip for local elementary students. The thing that stuck in my mind from the visits back then was hearing that silk worms were raised in one of the areas. That just fascinated me as a child.

Love hiking within the Georgia State Park system! I have been to almost every State Park in Georgia with just a few more to go. Next hike will be the PMT at FDR. Just subbed to your channel.

Best state park course in Georgia. As good as anything on the Trent Jones Trail in Alabama.

Very nice video. Good to see some of the family history laid out like this. I'm not a decendant; our branch of the Jarrett family was firmly entrenched up north during the period. The closest the northern branch of the family got was a brief visit courtesy of the 9th Mich. Cavalry during the "Former Unpleasantness."
