Why do you allow workers in North Carolina to work up to 16hr days 7 days a week. If you are gonna allow 12hr shifts have company’s run 3-2 days (work 3 days, off 2 days, work 2 days, off 3 days. My husband has become a corporate wage slave and has 0 time to spend with his family because of these awful labor laws. If you didn’t allow companies to over work the employees they have they would be forced to hire more. Which would mean more jobs for the economy and better mental stability in the work place. You think it’s safe to have workers come in tired and unrested and overworked?! Is that a good work environment? Overtime should be chosen by the workers who want more hours not always mandated on the poor employees who barely get to see there families.

The fact that the government isn’t using tax dollars to improve filtration systems for the public is a disgrace. There should be no allowable limit for anything that is potentially harmful. I know that Terry is no longer with us but if I could say anything to her I would tell her Thank You for being my inspiration to quit. Not only do I have a daughter and husband that cared but that there was this lady who through her story was speaking volumes to me that I needed to quit also. So on Easter Sunday of this year I decided to do this very same thing ….and have had not had one setback of wanting to start back up…I can smell, taste and breathe again..after 35/40 years of a nasty habit I am free again. With a loving daughter and husband cheering me on and meds that actually worked and for the memory of terry saving lives each day till she died she had saved one more ….me.
