The composer’s name is Joseph Haydn. The ‘humour’ bit is an over-stated and simplistic caricature, most of it is ingenious playfulness. Haydn trivialised in a way you would never do to Mozart or Beethoven; so sad - the pantomime of the exiting musicians in the ‘Farewell’ symphony (1772) is a massive distraction to what’s in fact one of the greatest symphonies of the 18th century, and the most important single work of through-composition and cyclic integration before Beethoven’s 5th (1808).
