As far as I know, mSATA in this T430 operates at SATA II speed, not SATA III, so it's even slower. I also tried this in practice. It was impossible to edit a 1080p video when I booted the laptop off and stored the video on my SSD via its mSATA. I also doubt that you can get speeds higher than SATA III via ExpressCard slot but I'm not sure. Only Optibay and primary HDD/SSD slots operate at SATA III speeds in this Thinkpad.

Wow this was not what I expected. I thought you completely rebuilt the inside to recreate the AC30 circuit with the valves and everything. I have the exact same model (the cambridge 30) only mine is still working properly (It hasnt suffered fom the dreaded cambridgitis yet but I've already bought the optocoupler for when it happens) and I really like it, but funnily enough I have always thought about doing something similar to what you did here. I mean building a new amplifier with some generic power amp and a cheap amp emulator pedal like the joyo american sound and mount it inside some homemade cabinet. I thought about doing it because I haven't found any amp that is very lightweight, loud enough to gig or rehearse, inexpensive and completely analog. Most 30-50 watt amps out there are not loud enogh (Or if they are loud they're also really heavy) they sound like crap or they have this digital effects that make them pretty much impossible to repair once they fail. I haven't done it though because I had some concerns about the sound and about safety. I mean, as far as I know this kind of emulation pedals (and so the VOX amplugs) have built in cab simulation that can't be bypassed so I thought this would negatively affect the sound once mounted into a real cab. About safety I really don't know much about electronics so I don't have any particular concern and I think probably you'll be fine as long as the power supply is grounded and working properly as with any other electric device, but I wanted to make some more research about that to be completely sure (I'm a bit the anxious type haha) Anyway, It sounds great and your video was very interesting. It reminded me of a video by Jim Lill called "Where Does The Tone Come From In A Guitar Amplifier?" you should check it out if you haven't already. I think I'll begin gathering the parts to finally start that project. Greetings from Mexico City!

I love this show! I have low Rez versions of them, and I remember when it first aired it was really difficult to see sometimes because it was always preempted for sports! I have always hoped that they would reboot the show. I also love the idea of any time differential between our world and theirs.
