Question: if the insurance company pays for your property damage but is disputing liability at the injury trial. Is them paying for property damage proof that they are liability?? Im going through this now. He received a ticket and they paid for my property damage. I think they are now trying to dispute liability...

I was a passenger/victim in a tbone collision...the car that hit us/crashed directly into my door while we were legally stopped is 100% at-fault (agreed by both insurance companies, StateFarm (StF)=at-fault insurance and Geiko(GiK)=under-Insured insurance). StF immediately opened an underInsured claim with GiK, the drivers insurance of the vehicle i was passenger in. Both policy Max is 25k and GiK in addition to 25k has additional 10k PIP for medical expenses. I was transported to E.R., X-Ray negative, refered to Orthopedic doc, refered for MRI, back to Orthopedic doctor who read MRI results = from collision i sustained 2 tears in shoulder/rotator cuff... surgery recommended as only way to fix shoulder...it's very painful...im prescribed Tramadol, ibuprofen 600 and Hydrocodone and now I'm preAuthorization for surgery by my Primary Health insurance. StF ready to pay Policy Max limits of 25k + 10k PIP...adjuster informs me the limit max settlement is being tendered, BUT must wait for clearance from my Medicaid state "poor people" insurance to release any liens they have... GiK says they are still reviewing current and past medical...(which genuinely is Zero preexisting conditions and truth about the torn rotator cuff) so my questions are: #1 does that sound all good so far? #2: what if I, On my own, with full knowledge and responsibility, i make the decision to NOT have the surgery...Will that effects potential settlements...or will the insurance companies jump on it and settle immediately with max 25k each as I would sign off liability AND there would be currently Zero leins from my insurance if no surgery OR do they lower settlement offer because no surgery? (the mri still shows 2 tears in shoulder regardless of surgery.. I am injured because of Their insured driver)

If a 60 year old is getting SSDI, could there be any rational reason to convert that to early retirement before 66?
@bruno2235
@bruno2235 11 ай бұрын
No, if you are getting SSDI that is the amount you would have received at FULL retirement at age 67 which is more than your age 62 amount for early retirement.

So I get the bare minimum because I was disabled before I ever had any possibility of working. Our "GREAT" country can't even take care of its most vulnerable!? Cool! Awesome! I basically have 8 months left until I'm on the streets because I can't find anywhere else to live and I can only afford to rent rooms but apparently not even that anymore! I'm desperately trying to find limited income housing in California so I don't have to leave the one state I know as home and reestablish care in a new state with new laws.
@treyweeeee
@treyweeeee 2 жыл бұрын
@@mind_of_A I did that! Now I rent a room out of the back of a random business. The thing is, all of those options and the options that I have had to endure for 15 years and for probably the rest of my life as I see people not caring that so many people have more money than they could possibly need whereas people like me who really ought to be able to get at least poverty income not below poverty income like it was originally stated to be when social security was first enacted, It's just sad that these are the options I'm faced with. I've already been homeless, homeless shelters are actually worse than being on the street! If you don't believe me do research yourself that doesn't come from one source and isn't biased to one side. Obviously there are homeless shelters that do a lot of good, but, it doesn't expunge the bad that exists. Also, after recovering from homelessness from 2013 to 2015 I have now accumulated a small rooms worth of stuff, call me conceited or materialistic but I kind of want to keep the small amount of belongings I have instead of being ripped away from everything that I have been able to slowly accumulate so far. So again, excuse me for being a bit distraught that I can't even get half of what people make just because I was literally born with my disabilities. But whatever, totally fair system! Also, just fyi, I'm on disability for a legitimate reason and the reason why I can't live in an RV or in shelters anymore is because I need better personal Care tied to my medical Care than those living situations can provide. It would be legitimately more humane for somebody to give me the same treatment you would give a dog versus living like that.

Who would want to stay in California ?
@treyweeeee
@treyweeeee 2 жыл бұрын
@@tiazadobbs7475 agreed, I REALLY wish I didn't have to stay in California. But, out of everywhere I've lived here is where I'm receiving the best healthcare someone in my situation can get access to. The thing is, every time you have to move, switch doctors, hospitals, etc. you have to go through being rediagnosed for everything you have been diagnosed with. This is a legal thing because if you go from doctor A to doctor B in a new state, if doctor B takes doctor A's word from patient files and previous diagnosis, if the diagnosis is wrong and ends up causing harm to the patient, they can sue and then both doctors A&B are held liable. But here's my problem. I DO NOT have the health to go through being rediagnosed for everything and have to have a gap in the plethora of medications that I have to take to be able to NOT fall apart and possibly almost probably worse. So if I can't figure out a way to get to stay in this area I'm MORTIFIED at the aspect of having to move somewhere where I have to go through this again when the last time I had to... Well that's too much information, just take my word; it was bad. But the thing is I can't find ANYWHERE to live on my type of SSI income because I was disabled before being able to make work credits for any better payout. So I get less than the intended minimum regular people get. 14 years ago, to rent a room from a house was only a few hundred dollars depending on a number of factors. But now I'm seeing rooms being rented for the same price my house costed me to rent. I can't afford that but these SAME people wants first month's AND second months rent WITH last month's rent, deposit, pet deposit if applicable, to make 4 times the monthly rent a month, ridiculous rules, terrible restrictions, ect. Really, it's over the top. Also, the sheer amount of money that they are asking for would be ILLEGAL for me to have since these people are forcing you to have to pay so much and earn so much but in reality, people who are on my type of income can't have $2,000 or more in monetary worth. So, IDK what to do because NOWHERE will take a chance on me even though I'm not anywhere near a bad tennant. But yeah, I think me wanting to keep my healthcare is important and valid but I have to move where I can afford to but I can't afford ANYWHERE in the US, I've been putting out at least 20 applications for 2Years now! I'd love to live in Washington, or Oregon, or Maine, or, well, honestly I'm not picky but there are certain states I do have to pass up because they don't have the ability to take care of me medically, they don't have income protection, or other legal protections from bigotry and hatred. Again, there are SO many more places I'd rather be but I'm poverty stricken, but I've been trying but I don't make 1/3rd as much I need to to survive. I don't know what is going to happen. I'm quite scared because I can't see this in anyway getting any better unless we realize how backwards our actions are and that we've had the ability to elicit real challenge that would benefit everyone in the short term AND long term. I don't know but these Western Imperialist ideologies are not working. But yeah. Again, I agree with you, I just don't have the health, the money, or the connections to move anywhere I need to or want to.

I worked on a trash truck for over 30 years. The company i worked for has their own truck mechanic shop. It is their job to make sure those trucks ran correctly. On may 16th 2018 in robasonia pa, I was hanging on the back of the truck, coming down mountain road when we lost our breaks. To make a long story short, we slammed into a tree at the bottom of the hill. I was thrown about 40 feet and slammed onto the ground. My insides were forced to the right side of my body due to the force of the sudden stop. Surgeries has been done to fill a hole in my leg with sharkskin, torn liver, abdominal surgeries as well. Today I still need surgery to push my insides back into place. My driver, Dale bled out and died. I went to sue my employer for negligence but, Its against the law in Pennsylvania to sue your employer for negligence. Workman's comp paid out no where near the money deserved and disability pays no where near enough to live in today's cost of living. Life is difficult for me. My employer who is protected by the bullshit laws of Pennsylvania, is probably sitting on a beach somewhere, sipping on gin and juice, laughing about the whole thing. As far as these lawyers who get on TV and swear they can get you this and that or, they can do this and that, DON'T YOU BELIEVE IT! Its all a deception like everything else in life. Now ask me why I don't vote? For who? Local, state, and federal government can't do a damn thing to help themselves, especially when the end of the wicked system of things comes on the day of Armageddon. So what makes you think they can help you? In today's time, please don't get hurt on the job because if you do, your screwed. After the accident, my company replaced the breaks on all the trucks with new breaks. What does that tell you? I hate government now and I will never vote again. Now, after reading the scriptures, i look to the heavenly government after Armageddon when all these global governments are destroyed. Till then, i will struggle knowing that life will get better in the future and evil will get theirs. Please practice safty at work and dont get hurt. No lawyer can help fully if you do.....
