These people only saw things that everybody could see, the visable sky and water.Youd probably find a better connection to outer space via ancient africans.

In regards to the RV comment around 3:00 or so, i implore you to look up early models of RV and caravans..they're quite neat and very similar to the image shown.

The few remaining genealogists on my mother's side of the family claim that we are related in some way to Captain Smith (I don't recall the relationship as it hasn't come up in 15+ years). Not exactly something you work into your CV...although I do have mixed feelings about the Captain. Nevertheless,at least he did what he was expected to do and went down with the ship. Thanks for a great episode, sir, and best wishes from across the pond.

While comments that start with ‘As a this/As a that’ usually bug me, I am quite shocked as a scuba diver that you didn’t notice that they basically predicted the rebreather if anything, since there don’t seem to be any typical scuba tanks visible, but they do have boxes with tanks on top of them, and rebreathers are essentially just boxes with tanks inside of them that allow you to stay underwater for far longer than an ordinary scuba tank will. But yeah a good portion of us certainly are spending a lot of our time underwater these days! lol 🙂 …however we still are quite hard pressed on finding a way to get a good game of croquet going down there, but I guess they hadn’t quite nailed down the laws of buoyancy yet when they came up with that million dollar idea 😄

They didn’t predict people dressing like bums. They never even considered more than two genders and for good reason.

I don’t think we’ll have a chip that can record our memories, I think that’s too complex even for a computer, programmer, microchip…… like how can one expect to capture the connections between neurons in the brain and transfer that onto something electronic. If one could record one’s dreams that one has at night would impress me alone by itself…… I’d have a F’n NOVEL series, I dream EVERY NIGHT and remember them. I sometimes have the same dreams over and over and it’s like they continue from where I left off. I can remember reoccurring nightmares I had as a child. So never mind just installing a chip, and you basically “see through your eyes@ on this chip, if one could just hit record when you go to sleep and basically show back what you dreamt ( even though you’re so exhausted you don’t feel like you were asleep) that would impress me.

Just saw this very interesting video three months after it was released. My question is when did people start doing death photography. Mostly children( that I’ve seen). I understand photography was very expensive, and usually this was the only photo families had of their children.

It’s not something I’ve looked into in great detail but my understanding is that death photography was popular way before the ‘Daguerrotype’ because long exposure times weren’t a problem. I’m pleased you enjoyed the video Lynn. Tez
