Thank you for sharing. I recently ordered the xl tent based on this review. I got this for camping at music festivals and camping in general. I am hesitant about getting the inflatable floor. Would the tent without the floor be good in the rain as well? I am just not sure since I already spent a lot on the tent and canopy and I am trying to see if the floor is worth the price. Thank you love the video and the doggies!

So once u have kids in back seat you figure out to turn it around with doors facing the front so they can grab stuff while driving. Room for leveling floor or drawer underneath. Also if just two of you why not put one or both seats down and show what’s possible…. Thx for video..

@@txengineer Thanks for the feedback! With 2 dogs, we were able to put one seat down but it’s really wedged in there and not ideal at all. Definitely doable in a pinch though. Kinda pushes against the upholstery.

@GetOutSmore RBM makes a super industrial 4 season tent and their stove is really well designed. It's not cheap but if you take care of it l, it would last a decade, plus it is great in the old. It has an inside linner so no condensation build up. They use rebar for stakes, they provide screw in tent spikes for ice and they include a really good repair kit. They mention it's a sauna tent lol and just by accident I got it to 100 degrees by not knowing how to dampen the stove. Great Channel btw. I'm subscribing.

They look kinda cheap… do you feel like it’s pretty durable?
@GetOutSmore
@GetOutSmore Жыл бұрын
So they can scratch very easily. At least my gray one did. Kickstarters are getting these little dust covers that cover the entire unit that will solve them, but Anker has said they aren’t going to produce them for individual sale. So I’d recommend a cover of some sort if you’re taking it out into the wilderness. They better hope someone makes an aftermarket one for the fridges because I definitely would recommend them. There have also been reports on social media groups of lids bubbling up, but mine hasn’t sat outside exposed to the sun. You’d likely want to keep them in the shade. Anker has also been quick to send out replacement lids and people are even doing creative diy lid covers with adhesive materials that make the fridges look awesome. Outside of superficial stuff though, I don’t see why they wouldn’t be durable. It seems like a fine build quality to match the price point so far. I’ll report back if anything changes though.

Great price! You really can’t beat that. The EcoFlow is $130 for prime day more and that’s not including a battery! And to a lesser extent, the handle and wheels. I know not everyone needs those. Would be smarter to buy an extra battery and charge the battery through the day and swap batteries in the morning (if you want a backup) I am going to order this though as it seems to be able to keep it topped off. REAL test would be to run it on battery all night, then plug in the solar in the morning and see if it can charge it back to full while running all day. If so this thing is a beast.
@GetOutSmore
@GetOutSmore Жыл бұрын
I think it’s smarter to just get an external power station if the battery winds up costing $250-$300 because it will be so much more versatile. But down the line, if there’s a decent sale, definitely. Or if space isn’t an option. But for this test, it did run on battery all night and didn’t make it through the night with one zone being in freezer mode. I will try it again to see if it’s a repeatable issue though.

the charge controller isn't going to let 150 watts of solar go into the battery when its at 99%. Think of it how your phone will fast charge from 0-80ish% then slow the charge rate. I think the max charge on it is 60 watts. You still want a large 150 watt panel, because the efficiency loss of the panel, you may net 100 watts. Try depleting the battery and then charging via solar. Additionally, High level clouds have a marginal effect on solar panels
@GetOutSmore
@GetOutSmore Жыл бұрын
Yeah. I caught that trend as the day went on I was showing more watt input. But it never showed much because it was all going into the battery and keeping the battery at 99% all day long. Thanks for the tips. My expectation is Solar will keep it topped up the first day the whole day, depletes over night, then it will work hard recharging the next day. It is a 100 watt solar input port according to Anker. I was using a 120 watt panel. I will let it get low and see if it’s getting enough with just one panel. It’s supposed to charge up in 3.6 hours via solar which isn’t bad at all.

It’s a pretty realistic test unless you can say you consistently camp in places with zero clouds in the sky ever. And then, I’d love to go there. lol It wasn’t even hazy. In many areas like back east, this would be considered a perfectly sunny day. But I do intend to do more videos. Mainly with both solar panels to give it a better shot. Thought it should be noted that the battery didn’t make it overnight from 100% without the temps starting to climb slightly early the next morning. Luckily, the ice never thawed so it wasn’t too much of an issue, but 9 degrees was still higher than I’d prefer. Appreciate the feedback regardless!
