Tried this on 2001 Crown Victoria owners manual and programmed 4. If it going into programming mode, it should work for any of the different procedures OWNERS: To reprogram the transmitters yourself, place the key in the ignition and turn from 2 (LOCK) to 3 (OFF) and cycle between 3 (OFF) and 4 (ON) four times in rapid succession within 3 seconds. After doors lock/unlock, press any control on all transmitters (up to four). When completed, turn the ignition to 3 (OFF). All transmitters must be programmed at the same time.

It cancels out the originals, so have to do all your key fobs, you can hit any button, but do it fast.

I know it’s just a beater truck but laying a bit of plastic down would be a good idea for shavings. No one likes a knarly rusty sliver of steel splinter

I know this might be a long shot but I've been having trouble connecting my fob to the car as well, had a mobile tech come out and he can't do it either, I'm kind of trying to avoid going to the dealership because that's just going to be the most expensive, but I have a 1999 Ford crown Victoria LX and I was hoping if there is any special thing you do for it? I know the keyless entry module might be done for in a thing as old as this but I got it in very good condition like it was stored in a garage for a long time, so I'm pretty sure everything in the car works quite well, but for us to fail two times me and then the tech also I feel like I'm just going to waste money going to the dealership only to find out what I already know.

Do you have to remove the entire assembly if the motor or regulator is out? Is it a matter of just replacing it all since the assembly has to come out anyway? I thought I only needed to order the motor and regulator and access it directly without taking the whole assembly out. This video (and others I've watched) looks like it's a matter of replacing it all. Great vid by the way!
