If I’m going to home school private home based and it’s my first year and my child never been in a public school do I have to notify anybody that I am home schooling or just fill out my affidavit

Can I ask where did you do the standardised testing? Can you do it online or does it have to be on a campus? That is one thing I worry about. I homeschooled last year privately but it was Kindergarten lol so it was pretty easy. My son can read and write really well and do complex math. I was like wow they learn fast! Now its first grade and I am wondering for the future (not this year but next year) about the state tests and whatnot. Thanks so much for this video! Encouraging for sure.

I’m curious, what do you do with the word cards if they need reviewed? I know you put the phonogram and word cards with the lesson they correlate with, but what if your child needs more review on a few cards?

So do you have to have teaching credentials to homeschool? I may be confused but what it looks like is if you file as a private school the teacher needs credentials. I obviously dont have them but i want to take the private school route

This video has helped me so much!! But to be clear after filing all requirments, we (the parents) make up the cirriculum and what we teach our child? We don't need to use a website or follow anybody elses cirriculum?

IEW sounds like dyslexia approach. I did have my dyslexia tutor tell my feature kids ll have dyslexia.. is it good for dyslexia?. I am just on the look out. My boyfriend & I talked about getting engaged once I get my adult high school diploma .. I have ADHD myself he has it as well yes we re” christians.. I can’t stand the idea of having one day my feature kids 8 hours a day especially grade K-2nd grade… I am not happy what the state the school system is .. even my boyfriend is like no public school… I told him I get it.. too. Having been it for 6 years.. some people don’t get it.. I had trouble with reading.. I d’ guess the words a lot a dyslexia approach needs to be talked about especially homeschooled dyslexia students..
