I liked the sound of the plugin much better. Hardware was more flat and 2-dimensional, but the plugin seemed to be doing a little "too much" -- maybe because the Hard / Soft slider was above halfway. I can't really tell w/o some testing here on my end, but I don't have the hardware.

Hi plese can yall explain just the crossover point? if the LO-Xover in turned ON nothing below 1K will be saturated right? And if i turn it OFF everything from 0hz will be saturated? In this case If the Lo-xover is OFF and the HI-Xover is ON with the knob placed at 20Khz it mean he is saturating from 0 to 20khz, full range? But if he wants full range why not just turn the linear phase crossover oFF in both?

Why the hate ? I see a lot of people with a lot of negative things to say about this company / owner but generally people say thenlugons are top notch unless they’re just hating and don’t offer and reasoning .

@@AdamFraserTv most of the plugins are great. But look at the catalogue there are a huge number of tools on offer and the blurb always says ‘the ultimate mastering console that gives that British/Vintage’ vibe…… they have more variations on the same theme than SSL, Neve, API et al ever did! Also they take up a lot of soace and many of the plugins are very cpu intensive. These are the factors behind the negativity. I own 80% of the catalogue and have multiple CPUs running my rig so can cope with it but it costs a LOT to get the best out of their plugins. Many think they should focus more time on optimising efficiency than churning out another flavour of same old same old with a new interface. But buying the new ones not compulsory. And they are not the only good plugin maker.

They repeatedly develop the same product, only with a different appearance. Simply put, it’s essentially just spending money to buy a new UI. Of course, this is a very reasonable business model. As long as everyone maintains the “legendary” belief, everything can continue 😌

@@infojunkie4989 I'm apart of the Acustica Street Team when that started a couple years ago--a fan of their products since the year 2014--but would not consider myself a "usual suspect". When something unique drops, I cover it though. Wine was pretty unique! Acustica have an incredible catalog but with that comes inevitable overlap. It's nice to have options...but no one REALLY needs dozens of equalizers and compressors. 😀 There are always new sound engineers starting and they may need interesting tools, so..

Wine sounds gReAT! I initially thought that there was an issue with massive CPU usage but that turned out to be DAW related. I can only load about 3 Acustica plugins in LUNA Win 11. In Reaper 7.18 I can load as many instances as I’d like with very low CPU usage. In fairness to UA LUNA Win 11, that DAW is currently in beta testing stage of dev.

I don't suppose they included an (output) astatic microphone? I'm surprised they included so many input mic's. Wouldn't pairing dynamics inputs with dynamics outputs and similarly, condensers with condensers, give better results?

Oh look another NEW plugin from Acustica...what a suprise, another day another sampled plugin. maybe update the older ones and stop them crashing when you select presets like Lemon. Or just keep releasing plugin after plugin with 80% of the massive download size being copy protection.
