This doesn't work for 3rd gen 4Runners because of the fuel tank hard lines attached to the top of the fuel tank that cannot be accessed through this panel modification. Those hard lines have to be reached by hand in order to actually lift the fuel pump assembly out of the fuel tank.

hey i have a quick question for you as theres not alot of info out there, im looking to redo my suspension and i dont wanna go full s14 just yet, but i wanted to know if s14 front hubs would work on a set of q45 coilovers? they look identical but i figured sense youve actually done the swap you might know.

That style of inner CV joint is not designed to run at those extreme angles, so you may have problems with it, regardless of changing the boot.
@kouchang5317

I haven't ran to any problems since I've changed them to these , I've been off-roading with these and it haven't rip or torn . Thanks for the info
@rickconstant6106
@rickconstant6106 Жыл бұрын
@@kouchang5317 It wasn't the boot I was concerned about, it was the actual tri-axial coupling. They work best when the angle is at a minimum, which is why they don't usually use that type on the outer joint, which has to cope with the steering movement, so running it at an increased angle could cause additional stresses/wear in the joint. I hope you don't have any problems.

I was thinking about getting these wheels for my Tacoma because they are 5 to 6 pounds lighter than the factory rims I’m hoping it will help with the economy and power I’m curious on your thoughts. I’m not sure what offset to go with I want the stance to remain the same as factory
@kouchang5317
@kouchang5317 2 жыл бұрын
Well, from what I think is if you still want to save gas, you'll have to run factory tires or 1 size up sound be fine. I'm not sure on what offset will be good with a taco but these that I have sticks in the fenders so I put 1.5in spacers to poke it out , mines are 0 offset I think

I got my boot yesterday. Trying to pump myself up. I’m repairing a boot on a new cv axle from last year. Before that, my replacement boot ripped. So I’ll take a few weeks fixing my axle since I like doing a step each, day so I won’t lose my sanity and I’m not as young as I use to be. Also, I know it’s been 2 years but your driver’s side boot needs to be stretched and not all cramped up and rubbing. Just notice it, maybe you fixed it already. Wish me luck.

I feel your pain. I’m waiting for my high angle boot and hoping I can make it work on a recently new cv axle that was purchased late last year. Trying to get in the right mindset because I’m frustrated with doing a boot replacement repair. Can’t wait to get this crap over with. Thx for posting. I actually have the same high angle boot on my passenger side but there is no room on my driver’s side but I’m hoping it works anyway on my lifted Rogue.
