At 15:50 you say: 'you fill it with the "Add mode" of the "Mask tool", when I try this nothing happens, or do you mean I have to manually draw inside the lines to make this happen? As I'm just lost on how to do what you just 'POOFF' make appear ...

You would put the Line Options - Pen but also as mask options, it would be very good to make rivers or water passages very perfect world maps!! It would help a lot

Maybe if if I was an expert at Inkarnate, I could have understood this better. I couldn't even figure out where to find the back walls...
@crapphone774415 күн бұрын
The strokes stamp on the masking were cool. The top of the pillar would benefit from being able to distort a shape so you could like turn a circle into an oval or a square into a rhombus. That would make perspective drawing a lot easier.

The stroke stamp just blew me away so useful and I never knew it existed

@9HPRuneScape23 күн бұрын
Just noticed these were videos on the KZfaq page. Might I personally recommend making these into KZfaq shorts? It will better spread the algorithm for views & help your followers know quick tip vids VS your full length guide’s. Just trying to return the tip - ultimately, you do you! 😊
@GnosticTroubadour23 күн бұрын
@9HPRuneScape I don't think they can. Shorts can only be made with a phone no?

Ngl… I’ve highlighted 100’s of objects to change their hue but I never thought to use it to balance out every shadow. Tbh, I always did 1 at a time - oops! 😅 Thanks for the tip, better late than never haha! 🙏
@9HPRuneScape23 күн бұрын
I’ve also have used the alpha textures to help give erie fog-like eldritch vibes, if you change the hue to green, it gives off a Necrotic poison gas vibe & in some cases in high mountain ranges - the alpha textures can make them appear higher by adding a cloud like effect around them! 😊

That's a great idea!!

Thank you guys firstly for this Programm! I was making my maps with Paint before and it was a Pain in the Ass. With Inkarnate ive redone my maps in just a few days and they look awesome. I had a free trial and want to upgrade to Full member but i dont have the Option and im scared that the maps may Dissapear. Will the maps be deleted after the free trial or do i have like 2 days to get the Full version? Thanks for the answer :) Also great Video as well. It helped me a lot to Start to Detail the Cities which i need Detailed :P :)
@inkarnate702124 күн бұрын
We don't delete users maps only you can do that. So even if your a free users after a pro sub or promo you will still have those maps you just need to resub to pro to edit the maps with pro features.

You mentioned that "top" layer is above filters. Would it be wise to save the top layer shading until after applying filters in that case since you might have to adjust them to match color/intensity/etc?

I've tried using the shape tool for painting on my world maps, but it covers everything. Is there a way to make it only affect the Foreground??

are mask effects always between foreground and background or can they be between any 2 layers?

wtf, city creation tutorial which actually omits the most important step for most ppl lul... This does not show the actual process on how u did create the city, because u already created it rofl kartoffel. take my downvote

@@inkarnate7021 I am not hating just to be clear! I really enjoyed the video but I got half way through and was a bit at a loss as I was expecting some guidance on drawing the actual layout using the Inkarnate tools, making the walls, filling out the rooms, lighting, features, aesthetics etc. Otherwise, the theory you talked about was really insightful. I am a new sub to the Incarnate service as I really want to create my own world and campaign :)
@inkarnate7021Ай бұрын
@@Fuzzatron3000 Totally understand. I think its a good idea to do a new dungeon video one that focuses on making one instead of the layout theory.

I usually don't buy memberships, but I tried Inkarnate once and completely fell in love. Got the full membership and it's genuinely the best thing I've purchased this year. I've shown all my friends the maps, I've let them try it, can't stop talking about it ahahaha. It's absolutely perfect for all my D&D campaigns, and now I see they do guides on youtube??? Truly the best!!! Thank you!!!

excuse me i think it's a base knoledge i just don't have, but, i want to have a huge map of a cities with batiment detail... the problem is when i trie to resize map to have more space to make house, etc... at a point the map don't make new more space anymore, but the resolution just make thing pixeliser what i've done before and nothing else... I don't want to change resolution, i just want more space to "draw", like if i having a huge paper sheet.

I both enjoy and hate this process. I keep thinking up cities without the time to build them!
