At about in the center room, you can see the shoulder showing. Don’t worry about a straight line when boxing. When you see a shoulder shift over so the end of blade barely rides the shoulder that will feather mud farther out on the deep side . The most important thing when boxing is check the fill with a good knife. Checking for hollow or crowned. Don’t be one of those finishers that says . I run my first coat on setting #2 and my finish on #4….. every box is different and every brand of drywall and each of there runs are different as far as recesses go

a lv5 finish is glazing the entire wall and standing it to get the imperfections out of the board. what he did with that 32" will shrink properly doing it is 5" first coat 24 second then glazing the wall is the final coat if not glazing them 32" final coat that's just for butt joints flats are 5", 8" and 12" and I'm 20yrs exp doing commercial and residential drywall
