this woman in the opening ad, Adrien Paczosa, is perhaps the most annoying person in the entire universe.

Hi dear I’m confused with the answer given with the client with OCD. I chose letter D because at the end it says prior to discussing with client. So, to me, we already had her consent. Thank you for the response to my concern.

Hi Melissa, I'm interested in a similar path of becoming a licensed therapist with a master's degree, then pursuing a PhD not for the licensure but for skills, research, and acedemia. My question for you is: how is it working as a therapist while pursuing a PhD program? Is it realistic to continue a regular therapist practice while pursuing a PhD?

Thank you, Melissa! I failed my clinical social work exam by 1 point in March. However, I passed the exam today with 25 points over what I needed. Your videos were incredibly helpful!!! Thank you for making them and sharing them on YT!! 🎉

I have my Bachelor’s in Mass Communications and I really regret that degree. I’ve been thinking about becoming a licensed clinical social worker. Would I be able to get my MSSW with my current BA in communications?
@miracleharrisonАй бұрын
No! You don’t need a BSW to peruse an MSW as your undergrad major will still meet the requirements I looked it up for ya :)

French Social work student here. It's really great that so many social worker give their experience on KZfaq. I agree. So far, they haven't taught us how to manage Stress, mental health or manage our emotions. It's not central on a academic level, but it help to make us stronger and less likely to suffer or make our clients suffer. I will definely see a clinical supervisor or psychologist regularly as a professional. I don't want to love myself in my job ever.

Did I miss anything ? 1. Have any subject bachelors degree 2. Apply for MSW program 3. After graduate accrue number hours needed to it for the exam-hours vary by state …. Register for board in your state… application to become associate clinical social worker … at this point need to work full time in social work to work under a supervisor that will provide hours needed for application 4. Get clinical supervision agreement form, complete the form with the supervisor… keep the form with you and submit it along with your application after you get the hours 5. Clinical supervision begins, supervisor will sign off on your hours. Keep log of your hours 6. After compile all papers submit and wait on response from board 7. Board will say yay or nay…. If they say yay you can take the board exam. Contact local testing site to schedule test… began studying for test… take exam 8. If pass the exam you are now considered LCSW … which means you can officially diagnose and provide therapy

I like the speed you talk, please don’t slow down just for other people can’t follow your speed, because when you slow down I can see you are struggle to follow your thought process lol and when you use the slow motion voice effect which really creates me headache and just have urge to change the channel. Because I just cannot handle the slow speed in my head. You attract certain people into your channel like me just want to have a fast information and you voice speed is perfect, dont’ cater for everyone. 😂 Oh and thank you so much for sharing this information. Do you mind to share why you go from LCSW to psychology PHD? I am contemplating to change to Master of social work but also still very enjoying psychology study….I wonder would I regret if I change to study social work? Or can I change back to Psychology if later one I found I still prefer psychology pathway

Honestly and with all due respect, your outfit and the chain looks amazing and is a super date or nighttime activity outfit, it is a great look on you. Yet not what I ever saw in an office space, in terms of the open circular area around the decolletage, if I may speak openly and taking into account that I have worked as an editor for fashion photography when I was 19, my girlfriend being a photographer as well as a fashion model. Your hair looks amazing, your lipliner and lipstick game is top notch and your face tone looks flawless too, regardless of whether cosmetics in play or it is a superpower. But most importantly, I have a thing for nerdy cutesy women. I think many many clients you may have had might have similar preferences - as I do not consider mine rare, so with all due respect, if your client is single, heterosexual, male and has good taste (😅) he has to be able to slap the irreversible attraction OFF-switch which people rarely press properly or it will cause either Freudian erotic transference or diverse more dissonant complications 🥲

I’m having a hard time understanding how industry and inferiority has to do with organization. In the second question, the words “not good enough” and “fear of inadequacy” sound like Industry vs Inferiority. I’m a bit confused.

Love was emotionally abandoned and neglected by her parents.... also the women she wrongfully murdered or tried to in season 3 were not just merely in Joes’s life he literally was mentally physically and emotionally cheating with them . He was obsessed, collecting their tampons and panties and she found the evidence including a bloody tampon. And the panties that sniffed to get himself aroused while having sex with her bc he was no longer attracted to her. I don’t think it should framed as her being jealous for not having attention .... it was way deeper than that. I think she suffered from BPD

Congratulations on obtaining your PhD. If I might ask, what made you go for a PhD in psychology vs a DSW or PhD in SW. In addition to working towards my LCSW, I’m trying to determine whether a doctorate level degree is needed for my career.
@MentalHealthwithMelissa5 ай бұрын
Great question! My MSW and LCSW career really focused on clinical therapy work. I wanted to expand my knowledge and skills in research and in a macro way coming from more of a psychology background so that is why I decided to pursue a Ph.D as opposed to a DSW. Ultimately, it depends on what you are hoping to do with your doctorate degree. I now teach in higher academia Psychology grad program and so the Ph.D in Psych was helpful.
