People that aren’t guitarists simply don’t understand why we like to have more than one. My collection is a modest six acoustics and my neighbour just today said why have you bought another guitar and shook her head, I really didn’t have the energy to explain about the differences between them e.t.c. Some people have more than one car, some people have more than one dog or cat, what he heck difference does it make I think to myself. I just love acoustic guitars.

Cindy. I missed you live but your show was really good. One question I would have asked is, Would you consider teaching songs in the public domain? I know some old blues songs would fit that criteria. Or as I have suggested before, teach nursery rhymes or old gospel tunes. I would really like to learn from you. Since you talk setups for guitar, I'm thinking about buying a cheap guitar to practice setups. What do you think? Cheers
@guitarnotions

I think I might do some zoom lessons in the future. I was considering doing a membership and setting up zoom calls as a perk. I am not sure if I can do that with the KZfaq policies but it’s a thought for future. Excellent get the old junker. You can practice and not worry. I noticed When it comes to removing a bridge it’s easier on a solid top. But don’t start on the more expensive, You will have so much fun!

@@guitarnotions I just logged in, and on my Safari browser, all of the live comments have appeared in the top right hand corner. Thought you might like to know. My main suggestion was that you can play music that is in the public domain and there are plenty of blues and folk songs that fit the bill. Further, under the “fair use” doctrine of copyright, you should be able to play snippets of any song. Loads of KZfaqrs play “riffs”. But I’m not a copyright lawyer, so my opinion on this is worth a lot less than my normal ones which, as I’m retired, are worth zero.

@@guitarnotions Regarding fair use. Some years ago, I was in an adult ice skating “showcase” competition of The Producers (On Ice!). The average age of our team members was 55. After posting the video, I only received a single take down notice from Germany where this video cannot be seen: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y5x4jZyinLi8YJc.htmlsi=IqTp_iph1BSf9Uuw. I've got an Ibanez AC-340-OPN that I think cost me $300, if that. It sits in the stand next to my chair while my $1000 Martin all wood guitar stays in the rack in the back of the room.
