Derick, I'm a new budget player in standard and I wanna buy my first standard deck with a 100€ budget. Which decks in the actual format would you suggest me to buy? I saw both Shiranui and Luard are really strong and already have a deckset but I know they need some upgrades and idk if they're cheap upgrades or not.

I was interested in both Premium Decksets for Revengers and Musketeers and I saw that Revengers got a good upgrade with the new crest and also Musketeers were really good with Reverse Cecilia and Katrina.

i have both tizqar and leimina, but i think prefer leimina just because zamuug already eats Energy and going first u only have 6 at turn 3. The second skill also helps in case u get board nuked and with Cage u can build your board again. Also derick, u can't use zamuug's first skill on turn 2.

I think there is a sizeable gap between Granblue-Katrina and then Nui and then the rest of the field. I think Nui is closer to DP tier (which is also an extremely underrated deck and is only handicapped by the existence of sanctitude). Granblue and Katrina play a different game to the rest of premium. Late game scaling with early game multi-attack (Granblue having some of the best card draw in the format and G guard interactions) and the ability to choose if you want to play defensively and switching to offence on a dime. Nui feels horrible to face if they high roll crest > Doji G2 > Oboro going first and start the snowball but it being so contingent on that as well as the obvious counterplay to Rinne turns (keeping markers in hand if you play protect/keeping shields in hand if you went second) make it way easier to play around.

I am from sg. There were like 570 plus people there and also for the first day there was a Pbo deck that went 9-0. But didn't make it top 8. Cause it was split to 2 day where first day was the Swiss round and 2nd day was the top cut and that Pbo died on top cut day 2

I personally wouldn’t run the orders. I opt for a more aggressive style of play that can guard with almost any card in the deck. I even have ran decks that don’t use PG. That is what I did with certain decks and I have been showing results. Instead of running the three PG you can run that Grade 1 you mentioned would be competing with Brainwash. I don’t really engage with the Vanguard community all that much since I am one of the only few players where I live. I am so isolated from the community that I have developed my own style. I have finished opponents on turn 2 before. I like being able to see how everybody else plays the game but it seems like a lot of things go unnoticed. I know I am the odd one out here so I won’t say much more than thank you for sharing your ideas.

I prefer running the other dedicated grade 1 that forces opponent to discard for either persona or stride than swirler. I like the ability to choose what goes in my soul rather than losing a game changing trigger. The new g1 bifrons is also a better replacement for same purpose to deck thin and add to hand/soul. Budget wise zargon would also be a really nice addition simply to make sure blang has 4 in soul to gain power and wider targets for cage

hey just some logic behind some of my choices for overlord. the dragontree 1 of is filler. i built the deck with a set 2 card and swapped it out with something from the binder haha. defensing roar can't be used with sentinels its mainly for bouncing heal guardians/ OT. hulkroar is very cool but did not come up in any games unfortunately, I wish id been able to resolve it but honestly might be better to run Wyvern Strike Dekat for the hand-rip. as for why the blue OT instead of DE OT. dragveda re-stands the vanguard which misses timing with the Ends re-stand skills, essentially you re-stand with the OT but still need to attempt to use one of the ends re-stand skills. so either you highroll and check ot on third attack or its just 1mil power and you don't pay the cost of one of the ends skills. same logic for one of the better strides Dumjid Valor, dumjid re-stands before the drive-check if the opponent PG's/heal guardian so it can also miss timing. DE OT definitely is not worthless, i just found it to be very feels bad when you resolve it right when you were about to restand anyway.
