2.41 is the size of the flute. What units are you using? Centimetres doesn’t work.

Good Vlog! I’m looking forward to seeing more with your artwork being made. About the Sasquatch & other cryptids; there’s a KZfaq channel that live streams Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. It starts at 9 pm central 🇨🇦 I’m in Manitoba. So maybe 7pm BC time? It’s called The Paranormal Portal. The host & co-hosts are great folks. I’m a moderator there too. Come into chat or watch, we’ll all say hello! 😊

Do you know how much a decent quality jinashi shakuhachi would cost? Ik it’s 9 years later but I’m thinking of purchasing one

Is this the only instructional free video by you Alcvin Ryuzen Ramos ? Thank you for this very helpful video. I wish I can find flute diagrams showing the different melodies we can play of simple songs. Impro is one thing but playing songs to learn certain scales would be so helpful. Not sure I can afford private lessons tho.

If you explore my channel you will find lots of tutorials on how to play better. But these videos cannot compare to real, consistent private instruction from a qualified teacher.

Thank you so much for this. I was a taiko student . At my second private Shakuhachi class I was told I was not ready for zen or focus...I did not practice. Years later, I'm back at this, having learnt the Native American flute....I think I am ready to try the Shakuhachi again. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO. It is awesome of you and the video is so helpful.I've known about your Shakuhachi but never seen this video before. Very grateful.

I have a different philosophy about studying honkyoku than most teachers out there. If you're interested in studying with me, send me an email: [email protected].

So after this you leave it for up to couple of months until it gets yellow. Is it then ready for flute making or do you have to leave it for extra 6mnths - 1year?
@AlcvinRyuzenRamos5 ай бұрын
Yes. After firing bamboo, you sun it in the winter for a few weeks till it gets yellow. Then leave it in a dry closet for at least 6 months.

beautiful piece, but it seems difficult to play. I don't find the facebook page, "bamboo in shakuhachi circle". Does it still exist ? I would love to have the music sheet. Thanks !
