How did you check the valve clearance without pulling the side cover first for the initial tdc mark? Or do you just eyeball the lobe position and assume it has the same clearance at every position? which is fair, im not so sure if thats the case for every bike

I've got an old 350 Jawa. People take the piss out of me. They say it's only a jawa. I change gearbox oil every two years.same as the spark plugs. It's well maintained. Good brakes and tyres. It is used almost daily. It's so reliable. Ok it's not fast. I don't think it would have a problem going to lands end to John O Groats 12 times a year. For a single carburetor two stroke it does me fine. Go on haters slag me off.

My brother bought a '94 GSX 600F for a few hundred quid (Admittedly he was hammered and had access to Ebay...always a bad idea). But we took it on as a summer project. It had some gearing issues which we sorted, engine needed a tidy up, we stripped the paint, resprayed it and a friend toured Europe on it. Gave me a great appreciation for older sport bikes and what you can do with them :)

And now to pick a real "NIT". The mechanic here goes into a standard assortment box of o-rings. In my experience as a motorcycle parts guy, there is a good chance that the o-ring is somehow a special part, whether size or material. A look at the factory parts book would confirm it. I personally have absolutely no idea. I have, in 55 years of riding, riden only three Harleys and worked on ZERO Harleys. If I were working on my own bike I would be tempted to use whatever was at hand. But working on a customer bike I would use only the book specified factory part . No way to know how diligent the owner is keeping an eye on things like leaks, and if he's bringing it to a shop for an oil change, probably not very.

Do the teams/riders get any prize money for winning a round or the championship.
@Mike_abel21 сағат бұрын
None at all, No prize money on offer for any class! But don’t worry you do get a large plastic trophy👊

Another fantastic look into racing clip. Love this format of stuff from the race weekend,I club raced for a few years & that cost enough,the level of financial commitment to just run a small team in bsb is crazy. A big shout out has to go to Gav at MSG Racing as he must put allot into it & the rest of the team for doing such a good job,for a relatively small team you are doing a fantastic job 👍
@Mike_abel21 сағат бұрын
They are a great team, Gav and the boys have put a fantastic bike together! It’s surprising sometimes that even at club level the costs can be similar!

Who tha fuq designs a motorcycle that you need to fuq around with the exhaust to remove an oil filter ? 🤔🤦♂️ That's just shitty engineering and design over function. BTW, nice work. 👍

Can anybody tell me why the exhausts are on springs nowadays? I have my mom's old moped from 1978, and it has it's exhaust pipe mounted with nuts, and it seems so mutch better than the springs on my brothers newer moped.

It becomes a piece of shxt because the original owner treated it like a piece of shxt. The condition of the bike is a true reflection of the keepers attitude of neglect towards it. It's not the bike that's a piece of shxt but the owners thinking!! Honda products are always superb
