typically with a cold sieze or a sieze in general the skirts dont break, ive only seen the skirts break from piston slap, wich happens when the piston to cylinder clearance is too big.

Wow, that was amazing. I took mine back apart not even realizing that there was to be a hole through there. I managed to get it open and now it runs perfect. You’re the man and I thank you very much

Does the clutch seem especially loud? Also was the back wheel slightly bent?

You should try blocking the intake with your palm when you get these classic beasts fired up. Block it on and off while blipping the throttle. That'll help pull crap through the idle circuit.

Yeap good call! Usually the gas bottle does the trick have done that before and had stuff get going. Thanks for the helpful ideas!

we got 25 of them old ski doos mainly 72's and 73's and abot 19 of them run perfectly often starting in the first 3 pulls. also won first place in some vintage sled shows with a 76 elan 250 twin deluxe

also in case you didnt know for a starting tune on your carb you want the low speed too be 3/4 of a turn out on the low speed and 1 1/4 on the high speed

I raced an 87 Mojave with a 88 KLR 650 motor in Open class mx and flat track in 90-93. The machine was heavily modded and surely was a beast!!!

Is your engine stuck? Pulling the clutch in would not allow the engine to turn, maybe you have something going on internal?

How I start my bike I just kick it down and it turns on but out of know where when I try to turn it on my the kick start won’t go down at all like I could have my whole body weight on the kick start and nothing won’t go down but when I hold on the clutch the kick start goes down but when I left go and try to do it nothing happens

With more restriction you're going to have less performance the exhaust can't flow as much out
