Ivan Lendl was also a huge ambassador for the opening of the Eastern Block. He and Martina Navratilova had a huge impact on the american mindset towards the Warsaw Pact.

I don't see any disrespect. He just admited Lendl did not need to do spéciales shots to beat him 😊

Very odd title for this video. Becker wins many points and eventually wins the match. Thumbs down.

First time I saw Agassi. I had heard about the hair, forehand etc. Lendl dominated this era.

Sampras proved that he has no equal. What if he serve with a modern racket? Who can break his serves game?

lol. Jimmy just calling Lendl a pusher. Sore loser.

I don't like how Agassi is carrying himself here. Lendl is very comfortable because by clowning around, applauding him and being a good sport Agassi shows Lendl that he doesn't actually believe that he can win. In comparison even as a teenager Boris Becker ried to intimidate Lendl with his body language. I think young Agassi was much too friendly to the top players and gave them too much respect. It often seemed as if Agassi was happy with a competitive loss and didn't want to piss off his opponents by rattling their cage. Bald Agassi was much different. He would swear when getting aced in a key moment instead of applauding the other guy.

This is why the tennis world fell in love with Agassi, he was fun and an entertainer, never cocky or pompous - a few players today could learn a lot from him.
Late Lend was kryptonite for Connors. Ivan read his mind and stared right into Connor's soul.

Went to this in 86. Macs first match after a 6 month vacation. He played well but Lendl had the goods. The crowd was electric.

Connors still in his prime dominated Lendl. 1982-1984 he was 3-0 vs Lendl in the majors. Beat Lendl US Open Finals 82 & 83 Beat Lendl Wimbledon SF 1984

A l'époque Lendl m'était antipathique.
