Man I when I was in Afghanistan I have to give our pilots some damn respect because I didn’t know about rotor wash and shit back then and they were landing 2 chinooks or blackhawks side by side at the same time many times you can’t get much closer than that lol I miss it a lot

I love that diesels just hit that one moment of cylinder temp where it goes from rough idle to smooth running. 👌

Did anyone check the glowplugs on this engine? These diesel engines should start up fast even by -20C

You should have heard my 5.9 Cummins starting at 15 below. It started for me - but it let me know it wasn't happy about it.

You should not stop cranking. When you do you lose all the heat you have built up in the heads and it just makes it take even longer to start.

Great videos sir but Please upload truck starting videos
i love that you can hear the engine turn on cylinder by cylinder
@petersack50746 ай бұрын
YOU should seriously, consider installing an OIL PAN heater.....on that engine. IT would save alot of engine wear ; and make it ALOT EASIER to start ; saving the starter and batteries...alternator as well ( Old trucker )

You look to be to be into the range where I think it would be better to have blow-down valves- Instead of electric starter- compressed air pushed into cylinders - fuel off- blow down valves one - air in first clears moisture whatever into cylinders-. Stop - close blow down valves, turn fuel on then start !.
