I see from comment leatherette already had adhesive applied. What kept the adhesive from being activated when you did the DTF heat press in first step? Why did it not stick to your press?
@SodaCityBoardsАй бұрын
Yes, there is a paper backing to it that won’t allow it to activate. once you take that off and press it would activate

What is the rubber sheet or silicone sheet you put over the top when pressing the hat. I ordered some and they get extremely hot and ruin the DTF print and stick to the platen. I feel I may have bought the wrong kind. Can you hit me with a link and also have you tried butcher paper or a teflon sheet?

Did you design your colored logo yourself? If so, what program did you use to do the designing and who or how did you get the DTF finished product to adhere to your leather? Did you outsource that step to create the DTF's?

Hello and thanks very much for doing this video! You get right to it with useful information and not a lot of fluff. Question - You make it clear that you're doing this with the xTool d1 10W - would you say that's the minimum power needed for burning tumblers? I have a 5W at the moment, but probably about to buy the newer 20w machine. I'm hoping that will give me plenty of power to do this type of work. Thanks again.
@SodaCityBoards4 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! I’m sure you can do it on the 5w, just have to do your power speed tests to find your perfect settings. But a 20w will be perfect as well with faster speeds too!
