Any cost comparison needs to be per person / day. I may have missed how many nights your cost comparison was for. If I assume your £1000pp/night is for 7 nights, I would skip it too. Even at 14 nights I would still be skipping it. We have sailed AQ a few times. Our next time is on Apex at only £11 pp/night more than verandah so very worthwhile. Once the cost gets above £25-30 pp/night I'd stick with regular rooms. We all have to assess what the AQ value is worth as per your video. The cabin is maybe £5 pp/night to me. Breakfast and Dinner in Blu...£20 pp/night. which gives me my threshold for upgrading or not. Spa facilities are maybe £5 pp/night as I would use them every 2-3 days, but hot vs cold weather is a factor. The extra loyalty Conceierge / AQ points have little value too, but as I am 240-ish points from the next tier it hardly moves the dial

Just came off Apex on a 13 night med cruise with amazing weather. No issues with air con for the infinity rooms. They are amazing rooms. I don’t know what people don’t like about them. Aircon remained on when window was open. Take a usb desk fan if concerned. Staff are amazing. Our first time on Celebrity we have previously done P&O and there is a massive difference in staff interaction and morale. Unfortunately we have Covid post cruise and it seemed that people were unwell when boarding the ship. It’s probably put us off cruising again as my wife is really poorly. It was a shame that some adults were less mature than the kids on board. If you don’t want kids go on an adult only cruise or don’t board in school holidays. Btw our kids are grown up and we cruised as a couple and the kids were well behaved pity some adults weren’t. I think the drinks package is extortionate. As a non alcoholic drinker even at sales price it’s a rip off. Sorry my opinion. We spent nowhere near the amount the drinks package would have been at its cheapest (40% off). Most expensive and inflexible drinks package of most of the cruise lines. £650 for 2 people at the cheapest for a non alcoholic drinks package when we had 7 port days. We had a great time it’s a pity the post cruise experience has put us off. Great review 👍🏻

We found closing the interior doors is a great solution to prevent the whole cabin heating up when opening the window on our very recent med cruise on Ascent.

Hmnn. I hope you go back and do this review again. Nobody will love everything about any ship, and we all have different ideas about what the ideal size, layout, etc. is. First, I don't think the Magic Carpet is a gimmick at all. In nice weather, it is one of the most popular spots on the ship and a great place - if you can get a seat - to watch a sail away. I am surprised it never moved during your cruise. Most of the time, it does hang out on the Pool deck, but as you noted, it is also for tenders, and usually they have a specialty dining option during one night of the cruise. Also, I may have misheard it, but I thought you said it was free. I don't believe that is correct. My understanding is the Captains Club members get a free scoop or two during a cruise, but the rest of the time there is an additional charge. We came from multiple cruises on the Solstice class ships before our first cruise on the Edge. There is no doubt some differences, including the Martini Bar. The older ones were hard not to love. But I don't think your video gave a true picture of the Edge class changes. You can enter the bar from the third floor as you did (almost feels like the back door in to me), and you can also enter from the 4th floor which is more like a main entrance. You can see the entire bar area, which includes a nice dance floor and pretty constant live music during the evening hours. It really is a very nice space and probably one of the premiere areas on the ship. I am also surprised you didn't show the nice area of Cafe Al Bacio with nice seating and relatively quiet areas. Finally, I think you missed the 2 - story theatre. There is so much more to the ship! I know it is hard to do it all, especially within the constraints of a limited time video. Thanks for doing it!

First thank you for answering a question which I have been crawling over over KZfaq and the internet - can you get straight to martini bar from the deck 3 cabin I’ve booked. The answer is yes! Shortcut to Cafe AlBacio for our morning coffee. Do you remember if they had a speciality dining discount on the first night? We went on the Iona to the Fjords in May. Ship was nice but everything was too open (I get your comment about the shopping centre). The service was shocking, waiting for drinks constantly. Waited for our table in Sindhu and then the food was average as was the cod in Epicurean. Celebrity is fantastic but if Iona ups its game on the service side of thing the lower price is tempting.

Thank you for the ship tour, going on her in early August, so fully expecting the outside areas to be very occupied, so may spead the load (people) around the ship. I use a small scooter ( brain damage which effectively wiped out my balance) however looked reasonably flat ( step less) or ways around any. Hopefully we'll have better weather, once again thank you👍

Thanks for your interesting video, we are travelling to Chobe national park and the lodge in 7 weeks time so great to get a bit of an insight.

My assigned embarkation time is 15:45 (final boarding time 16:30) so yes being 1h late would affect my holiday in the sense that the ship would depart without me! I'll be 1h early and wait if needed, but I really wish P&O would assign more realistic boarding times (nothing past 3 o'clock in that case).

Howdy, On The Road Again is the name of a Willie Nelson song. Would rather be in the middle of the ship. Also like to be near the aft section so I could walk up to the buffett. Go in a couple of days early. Or play in the casino. If you book through the cruise line then if you get caught in traffic the ship will wait for you. This happened several times. Have experienced that type of weather change on several cruises we have taken. Don't like Indian food. Too many spices. Have been on a British Ship and their coffee wasn't too good. Tea would suit me fine. Most times prefer walking the stairs. May not have a choice on getting there early. So it's a crapshoot on getting to the pier. I like to turn off my mobile phone and put it in my safe. Drink package is often not worth it unless it includes specialty coffee. When in the buffett use the serving spoons or tongs. My mobile phone will not work in Europe. Always take sunscreen and insect repellent. Check my onboard account every day. Disputed one cruise a few charges and discovered those glasses of wine actually came from different bars on the ship.

The olive Grove, I know was our favourite place to eat, it's best to oder 2 or 3 starters to share, the main courses are lovely, the desserts are my downfall had 2 tiramisus.. some food in there u have to pay extra, but absolutely well worth the experience
