One easy way that I make coffee dyed papers is to make a batch of instant coffee, put in a spray bottle and spray it on copy paper. Let it set outside until dried and that's it. I love the prints on these papers however, and that is something I want to try. Thank you so much for sharing your techniques and ideas. Love them all.

I've made lots of journals over the past 4 or 5 years but have not made a flip flop journal. Thank you for making this so much easier than the envelope method. I used beautiful Stamperia papers and followed along with you. I am so very pleased with my journal! I will be making several more journals using your method as I have quite a stash of scrapbook paper and not so many envelopes!!!! :)

I love this! I make my templates out of the flexible cutting boards from the Dollar Tree. You get 2 in a pack for $1.25. You can see thru them and that would be great for this project b/c you can visualize the front of your envelope.
@chasingpaper202213 күн бұрын
Yes! Those are great! I have since used them for templates as well. I used to use them as glue mats, as they are easy to clean and durable, but also inexpensive and easy to replace 😊👍

I love this idea but I was not having luck. I was able to get plain napkins stuck to the freezer paper but when I tried doing tissue paper after adding the crayons, tea, etc, it won't stick. Are there any troubleshooting tips? I feel like I am the only one who hasn't gotten this lol.
@chasingpaper202228 күн бұрын
Hi Tracy! Thank you for watching! I can think of a couple of possible scenarios why it didn’t work for you. 1)You may have used a wrong side of the freezer paper. You have to place it with the *shiny* side up and apply all your ingredients and stamping to the shiny side. 2) You may have used wax paper or deli paper (or some other kind) instead of Freezer Paper. 3) You may have used too many ingredients or too much of tea leaves, etc. It’s important to remember that what makes this project stick together is the melted coat of plastic, so the more you cover it up with leaves and crayon shavings- the less sticky surface you will have. 4) maybe your iron wasn’t hot enough or you need to spend more time ironing each side. Hope this helps. Happy crafting!
