I never use silicon when I change valve cover 🤔also my car has been running really rough idk
@moesautoclinic63686 ай бұрын
Hey, I am so sorry to hear that. My advice to you is to recheck your work if the car runs rough after your repairs and check for vacuum leaks, maybe that will give you an idea of why is running rough

I’m not a professional but I do have half a decade of experience with cars seems the newer they are the more complex the problem could be, my coils keep burning I looked into the pcm it’s burnt 🥵 My question I guess is will fixing the pcm stop the problem I’m puzzle to why it happen it the first place I’m not sure if I want it repaired and problem come back due to lack of knowledge of how it started in the first place or ima silly goose that worry too much about things I have no control over sorry for the long response Edit: this is for my Ford edge I’m currently working on both 😅
@moesautoclinic63685 ай бұрын
It seems that you have a big electrical problem. I will try to find a good electrician shop around and let them deal with that type of problem. Trust me electrical problems could only be fixed, but Electrician is the best way. But if I would guess you might have short to ground problem, something must be shorting out the PCM or shorting out the coil I hope that was helpful information. I wish you good luck.

Wait until you find out that its not a mistake or by accident. This is done by design to keep you guys in business. We havent needed as many jobs as we've had since 1930 man. If they start making the things the way they should then you would suddenly have a lot lot lot less work to do.
@chaos12919758 ай бұрын
did you say this was a shop that did it last ? because if so that shop needs to be closed or they are doing it on purpose to try to get it back. hell who knows with some of these people today. the one i get a lot is petroleum grease on the brake pins then the rubber swells and you cant get the pins out man i hate that. you are so right now there is very little places for rtv or silicone on new cars and trucks . great video i loved it

Wrong
@brianneu64895 ай бұрын
It most likely jumped time because the timing chain guides are falling apart. Pull the front timing cover and see. Soon they will be collecting in the oil intake tube and causing more bad things.

Here's an idea to avoid removing timing cover (if you don't want to). Set crankshaft to TDC. Remove valve cover and camshafts. After you have the camshafts out, you can support chain with a wire so it doesn't skip a cog on the crankshaft and then I was thinking you could get a 10mm deep-offset box end wrench onto the bolt or possibly make a special tool by welding a 10mm wrench to a short 12-pt 10mm socket to get behind the chain guide. What do you think about that? Is there enough clearance inside the timing cover? Also need clearance inside the cover for the bolt itself to be completely unthreaded. If not enough clearance, unscrew the bolt as much as possible and then cut off the head with a hacksaw - keeping rags in the timing cavity to catch debris. Remove rest of bolt with fingers or bendable grabber tool (??). Cut replacement bolt short enough for reassembly since bolt is shorter than original. When removing head you might need to “bend” the chain guide out of the way a little - hopefully the part can tolerate a little flex - if you break it you’re back to removing the timing cover. At reassembly, run a borescope down the timing cavity to check the alignment on the crankshaft cog and check the alignment at the intake/exhaust gears are aligned with the yellow links.
