You simply plug in the AC cable and it works even if both internal batteries are removed. My laptop didn't work in this video because of faulty battery which even prevented the other battery from charging. So both batteries empty all the time.

Hello brother, nice to greet you. I have a Lenovo ideapad 3 15ALC6 too, but its ram memory is 8 GB (4GB internal and 4GB in a free module). My question is if the device can support 16GB RAM (in the free module). First of all, Thanks!
@smooth.IT.operator
@smooth.IT.operator Ай бұрын
Thank you for watching. Single SO-DIMM Slot: Supports up to 8GB - "free module" as you called it. This is the safest route to take. Some people in the comment section wrote that they installed a 16GB RAM module. The device booted into Windows for some people but I don't know how this 20GB of RAM behaves under load. You can go the safe route or take some risk and get the 16GB module.

@smooth.IT.operator
@smooth.IT.operator 2 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching. From 8Gb to 12GB. More RAM more smooth multitasking. Windows doesn't need to offload usually RAM workloads to a less desirable swap file on the laptop's SSD drive. Some people here put 16GB RAM module and is working for them. So 16GB + 4GB is 20GB altogether. Even better. Depends on how much you are willing to invest in RAM extension.

Thank you for watching and commenting. Good job in replacing the battery. Have to be honest, new battery wasn't of much use to me because the controller on the MBO or some other crucial component for charging the battery permanently malfunctioned. Cannot charge the new battery. Amazon links are OK (there is even discount on many of them). You want a SATA3 SSD 2TB? Be sure it is supported, check the manual please. Even if you opened any of my Amazon links and then kept that tab opened and searched and bought 1kg of monkey bananas from Thailand, I would still get a commission. My point, buy any drive or brand you prefer. Thank you.
