I agree with NCB, such gorgeous, beautiful wrong turns.

How was the walk, I'm doing the walk in a few weeks?
@FutureMark8092 ай бұрын
Sorry about slow reply. The main track is excellent and you could almost take a pushchair! Going over the ridge is steep and has some sections with exposed roots. I wouldn't say it was advanced but it is more technical and challenging than the main route.

You upload amazing videos. Without proper optimization and proper SEO of your videos, your videos are not reaching your target audience. As a result views and subscribers are not increasing.😊

Thanks for the comment and compliment. The videos target audience are me and my kids in 20+ years.

If you had taken a Garmin 2 you could have had full comms to contact the outside world to let them know when to expect you.
@FutureMark8092 ай бұрын
I've now got a Garmin InReach, not sure I would have taken it on this ride as it wasn't an overnight adventure. We had an emergency personal locator beacon with us though.
@ronwastney25302 ай бұрын
I had my Mini 2 ,it has a SOS on it to alert RCC in Wellytown and good txt sending all the way through the St James so friends knew where I was also the tracking system works very well

The entire country is just incredible. Such contrast between places and sudden changes like the top of the Haast pass where the West Coast finishes and Otago starts.

The river road there is just spectacular and the climb isn't too bad... The descent is a lot of fun unless cars hold you up!

I'd love to know how many punctures you got all up? And were any in the front wheel, or all back wheel only?
@FutureMark8094 ай бұрын
All back wheel. I would have to figure it out but it is probably in the videos.

70k.... a short ride. You're a much fitter man than I am!

Ha! Surely your eBike would easily take you 70k? I met a few people doing TA on eBikes.

Well done. Do you have to ride home?
@FutureMark8094 ай бұрын
Ha! On a plane about to fly back to Wellington. It would probably have made more sense to ride from home to the end. Then flown to the start and ridden home!

100% you summed it up really well. Discovery and challenging yourself, you grow and learn in the process. It’s so easy to stagnate in our comfortable houses.

That feels like a question I can't answer.... The comment was for my brother-in-law who did a cycle trip with us and was nicknamed the postman because he had red panniers. Do you like post boxes?

I see. That makes sense. My employer is the post office, so there's a natural affinity with post boxes that comes from that 😊
