When, this was probaly a one time gimmick by CBS to promote the new in 1960 with the established. It was also a good play on Don's persona, somewhat like Jerry, not as cool as Dean or Frank.

Golden age of Television. We never replace men like this we got stuck with Conan O’Brien,Jimmy Kimmel,Colbert,Fallon and that jackass John Oliver none of which are even remotely funny!

Donn Knotts once talked about comedy, being able to make people laugh without profanity or lewd behavior, he said he always tried to keep it clean, this was probably the furthest he ever strayed from being morally responsible during his time as a comedian. There really isn't any need in the cursing and bad influence to be funny.

Simpler times and entertainment was not only classy but relatable. Not a day goes by I don't wish I could go back to the good ole days. Can you imagine how much less problems, and sadness would be in our country/world today if we could get back to the simple values.... Miss this wonderful generation and the simple values they brought. How blessed we are to have had them.
