I watched your reaction to Alien before, and you can't imagine how happy I was the other day you posted this, because this movie is so epic, even more when none of you had watched it before and how fun was to see myself in all of you, when I watched this the first time. Thanks for sharing, guys! The side characters of this film are so memorable, Hudson specially. Vasquez, oh, she's such a badass (plus, your faces when you read her name in the list, priceless hehe). And Hicks, I just really loved the guy because he always listened to Ripley, trust her judgement without knowing her but he could tell how brave she was (when he asks her if she was okay, right before entering the compound), for going back there knowing this creature terrified her. Again, thanks guys! 😊 Ps. Since it was a group reaction, the soundtrack may have seem absent but honestly, James Horner's compositions were amazing . Absolutely nerve-wracking 😉

Jeannette Goldstein (Vasquez) is my favorite. Her gun says Adidos. When the computer says you have 15 minutes to get to safe distance...time it. It really is 15 minutes until the planet blows up. Bill Paxton ( Hudson) most of his lines were improvised. James Cameron hires the same actors and actresses.

'Neodammerung' is the song in the final battle, composed by Don Davis. The song is primarily composed of Sanskrit chants, which add a mystical and spiritual dimension to the overall meaning. The lyrics contain verses from ancient Indian scriptures, namely the "Brihadaranyaka Upanishad." These verses explore the concept of transcendence and the journey towards higher awareness and liberation. The Sanskrit phrases call for a shift from darkness (tamaso) to light (jyotir), from mortal existence to immortality (mrtyor mamrtam gamaya). They also emphasize the pursuit of knowledge (vidyam) over ignorance (avidyam), as knowledge leads one towards immortality (vidyayamrtam). The song delves into the pursuit of self-realization and the transcendence of worldly limitations. It suggests that by transcending the senses (indriyebhyah) and entering a state of elevated consciousness (sattvam), one can discover their true essence (atmanam). The lyrics hint at the idea of breaking free from the illusion of the material world and connecting with something greater (amrtasya esah setuh). The first verse is a very powerful mantra still used in India today. The lyrics in Sanskrit are asato ma sad gamaya tamaso ma jyotir gamaya mrtyor mamrtam gamaya Which translates to From the unreal(delusion) lead me to the real(truth) From the darkness lead me to the light From death lead me to immortality

absolutely rubbish movie. As box office takings had shown. But amazingly they are making ANOTHER set of matrix films. Noone knows why. Additionally noone wants them after the contorted remixing of the second and third films.

For us oldies, when Paul Reiser appeared in Stranger Things, it was a deliberate misdirection for us. Burke was the ultimate traitor in the SF world for decades.

Please maka a video on Mastaaney. It is an Indian punjabi movie. It is based on history of Sikhs how they fought against inhumanity and saved 22000 Womens from Abdali Army. The producers of this movie really need support of good creaters like you. This is very high budget movie but the collection of this movie is not enough to inspire the creators of the industry so that they could make more movies on History to inspire the whole world. This movie will inspire you a lot and you will feel goosebumps after watching the movie based on the bravest community in the world. I hope you will make a video on this movie. We will be very thankful to you. From: A normal student. ❤❤❤

Regarding Cameron, Wired used to have an incredible article about his career writing about the time the first Avatar was released. The three takaways I found most interesting were that he was a college dropout working as a truck driver and making scifi models as a hobby, and then he saw Star Wars and was inspired tp teach himself film making. His start was a special effects demo with a woman in an exoskeleton fighting a robot - like he put different aspects of that into his first two movies. And that 3D movies exist because he made enough money with Titanic to do whatever he wanted, and his vision of Avatar required 3D so he figured out how to push the creation and adoption of the technology so he could make that film.
@j.f.fisher53183 күн бұрын
The rewatch value is great because every single thing is meticulously set up by something that happened before. For example watch the sequence where the dropship takes off with Ripley and there's a subtle hint that the queen got on that I doubt anyone would notice on the first viewing but Cameron being a relentless perfectionist added it in.
