Sigourney and Ridley essentially killed A v P as a viable side franchise because of their negative attitudes. A v P was keeping the Alien franchise afloat back in the early 90s, that and the novels. Ridley's comments sucked the most, especially when 90% of the 'Engineer' back story was taken from the Mala'kak to the point where Dark Horse should have demanded a credit. Ridley knows damn well he's read A v P comics and stolen from them wholesale and Sigourney knows Dark Horse Comics kept the franchise alive in spite of Resurrection. Alien 3 FELT like a Dark Horse comic. We should have a cinematic A v P/Colonial Marines universe now, but instead chose the robots playing flutes. A v P is canon to real fans. *micdrop*

I remember her being interviewed on a documentary of the filming of Alien: Resurrection and she was asked about an Aliens Vs Predator movie and she said something along the likes of "I hope not, because that would be truly, truly awful"

Makes me wonder what an encounter between Ellen Ripley and the Predators would be like. As if the Aliens were tough enough, I would like to see how she handles a space hunter.
