That's awesome! I've learned to love owls. I used to be so scared of them but now I find them pretty fascinating. Even bought an owl statue for my garden!

Why are they swallowing so fast or what is that neck movement inside and outside?

They only do that when it's hot out that i have seen, they vibrate there neck musles to open up tehre skin to the cooler air.

They are beautiful. We have a few around our area. The other night, one flew to the ground right in front of me. He landed on the ground about 15 feet in front of me. And as we were both surprised by that, we just stared at each other for a few seconds. I love all birds, great and small, so that was a real treat for me to see him that close. I tried to do my barred owl call..but he wasn't too impressed and flew off into our oak tree. I think he was at our bird bath, and I had startled him. I guess they will visit bird baths in the hot weather to bath or take a drink. But, I got a thrill to see him so close that night.

No worries! Nice, the new camera sounds good! I think having a bicycle camera is good idea (as well as car dash camera) just in case of an accident.

ya i live in midland Michigan it's a sj4000 i think i might get a gopro, but wanted to try this cheap cam out and it's not a bad cam. battery is short lived but i bought a portable charger for 10 dollars and doubled it's life
